I know there are exceptions to my statement, but having met several slaves both from Europe and from USA, I noticed a huge difference in term of devotion, loyalty and style while servicing. Since it happened many times, I wonder why there is such a big gap. Did anybody notice the same ? Is it just a matter of history and culture or there is something else ?

 Perhaps they just imagine they are serving Royalty, they are taught how to behave in the presence of Royalty at an early age arent they? Anyway I certainly do not have the answer and it was not my intention to berate or inflame anyone. After a lifetime of verbally and physically defending myself I have recently found out that I really do not know how to say what I mean in a submissive manner. So I hope no one is offended by what I said, I was really just offering an opinion. *smiles*

So I wonder what ground you state that opinion on.
Generalising never works.
so in My opinon it's not true.
There are good and bad people everywhere,

I am a Dom from Europe. I never saw a difference in subs/slaves from the USA or Europe and I had both.
There are some cultural differences between the groups though that you perhaps find more interesting in Europeans.

Hi Lady Daphne and welcome to Ask a Mistress!

You do realise there is no "One True Way" to be a slave?  A good slave is whatever his Mistress wants (and trains) him to be.

Mistress/slave is an erotic role playing game and the rules of make-believe are whatever the players (tacitly) agree.  Nothing more.

Of course, the players might use short cuts and just (slavishly!) copy other people's fantasies (called protocols) eg "Gorean", "Victorian", "Old Guard", "Japanese", "Story of O", "Sleeping Beauty Series", "Gone With the Wind meets Mandingo" etc etc

Its all great fun!

I notice you are European.  That might partly explain why European "slaves" are more to your personal taste.

But there's no One True Way to behave like a slave.  It depends on each Mistress' personal fantasy.

Meeting "several" qualifies one to make sweeping generalizations about entire nations of people? Interesting.  The gap is more likely compatibility with the actual individuals you have met than any validation of a stereotype.

OP, MsC said it right, a good slave is what their Mistress/Master wants them to be.

Euorpe's an awfully big place. My ex was from Madrid, and while I would say he was a fun person and an excellent bottom, he was not a very great submissive.

So, based on my survey sample of one, I would place submissives from the greater metropolitan Washington region much higher than submissives from Europe. [;)]

Since I try to limit myself to only people in my local area, I haven't noticed this at all.

In fact, I'd say even though my profile says that I'm not looking right now and that if I were they'd need to be very close to me, I get far more emails from Europeans and Middle Eastern men than I do Americans. If a guy who lives only 5 hours away can figure out that he won't be a match, why cant' the guy from France, or Germany, or Egypt figure that out?
