The Disintegration of a Lifestyle Is our life style disintegrating so fast that there is no hope? Are the ALT.com’s and the collarme.com’s etc. so dilluting my beloved life style, that there is no chance of recovery? Can any real Master or slave survive the onslaught of miss information and just plain wrong people? I cannot truly imagine what the “NEW” Master’s must be going through in order to find their way, in a lifestyle that has become filled with slaves telling Masters what to do, with Masters handing out collars of consideration, with “weekend” slaves? And I will not even start with my thoughts on collared submissive’s. Am I the only one who is feeling this way? 20 years ago this was a Lifestyle that had an occasional fetish, and NOW it seems to be a Fetish with the occasional Lifestyle. 20 years ago, the world was still under more of a rock than it is now. Human beings claim to be sexual creatures. Get over it. I don't always agree with the ways of others, but any true Master, or Mistress should know how to accept the ways of an ever changing reality. This is LIFE. Everyone has a "lifestyle" whether it includes aspects of "this" or not. Some people are more formal while others remain casual. I take pride in being fairly casual and down to earth in my Domination method. It is a lifestyle for me, however I have many friends who "play" now and then, which works for them. It would be nice if there were an easy way to differentiate the definitions of all ways involved in "this" but for now, that's just not possible. We do the best we can to find those who agree with "us" and many simply give up, or don't associate themselves with a website. All power to them and all they do. Also, any Master without the power to judge when it may in fact be a good idea to listen to their slave has no place in a rank of power. Just get over it.

Mini-rant time... I used to love audiobooks. I'm reading Theodore Rex and since it's a long book I decided to buy it on CDs as well so I could listen to it while working out or in the car. Nowhere did they say "abridged" on the damn box but they took every wonderful detail that makes the book so much more than a simple recount of history! Now I'm very suspicious of audiobooks...

I really like A Town Like Alice on audiobook but I lost some the tapes so I'm trying to find it again.

My youngest listened to the Harry Potter tapes; she got them from the library...she hated them, said it stopped her from picturing everything in her head...kept her imagination from going.

A lot of long-distence relationships meant driving 10 hours round trip and I got bored of the radio. Plus if the book is record by a good reader it's a lot of fun to listen. The old time radio shows are also a lot of fun to listen to.
