NEW ORLEANS
A jewel of the south
with old world flair
Now hangs her head
in deep despair.
Her streets once filled
with music and glee
are now flooded
by the sea.
Souls were spared
and souls were lost,
Katrina's debt
a deadly cost.
Prayers go out
to this southern jewel
in the wake
of Katrina, cold and cruel.
