Thank you to the moderators for allowing this post: It is difficult to be too enthusiastic about The Dominant’s View’s new issue when I am so aware of what is happening in the southern states. However, life must go on and in sending out this announcement I hope that TDV can offer some small assistance to even one person during this catastrophe. We’ve added links to the ‘big three’ charities on our front page to assist people in giving financial aid to survivors of Katrina. Also, now that our Forum is up and running we’ve opened two new segments. One to allow folks to post that they are ok so their online friends can know about it, the second is where people can post links for places accepting aid and places offering aid. Please post if you have information and lets pull together to help our kinky cousins get through this. Urls are as follows: Safe in the South http://www.thedomsview.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=13 Giving or Seeking Assistance re Katrina http://www.thedomsview.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=14 Many local community groups are already trying to raise money to send south. That is terrific to hear, kudos to you all for taking a lead. Let’s hope the people that need our help get it quickly. And now onto this issue’s offerings: This issue brings to you some great reviews of the kinky summer activities available this year, events in British Columbia, Manitoba and Washington kept many kinksters frolicking in sun. Jean Roberta reviews Midori’s book Wild Side Sex, The Book of Kink and a collection of BDSM erotica writer Lisabet Sarai’s collection of short stories, Fire. Sensuous Sadie interviews Joel Tucker of JT’s Stockroom, and we give you instructions on how to finish those frayed rope ends in the Dungeon. You’ve likely seen her posts about the happening in Southern California for years, now you get the chance to meet her. Our Dom of the Month this issue is Lady Badger. Our features are varied this issue. Werewolf talks about lifestyle labels, and Mb_Master opines on BDSM history. Jamie Joy Gatto sends in her second in a series of articles she calls The Power Principles and we hear from Rob who discusses passion as an inspiration for submission. Our regular columnists are all present and accounted for and we have the pleasure of showing you some beautiful photography from fetish photographer Lochai. All in all we have a very full issue for your reading enjoyment. Enjoy! Kayla Kuffs http://www.thedomsview.com You may cross post this announcement to any lists or forums where appropriate. And please note our new address, change your bookmarks and website links.
