I am wondering if anyone out there has a source for “insertion tapers” for expanding body piercing and the like

More specifically I want ones that have threaded ends (internal and external styles).

The original Gauntlet.com (manufacturers and piercers) sold them. They have since changed owners and gone out of business.
For those fans of his I granted you the creator now holds the rights to his domain name but I am under the impression he will no longer be making body jewelry, let alone these accessories.

So I am looking for a source for precision threaded insertion tapers.
Everything I have found on line and locally is all the non threaded type which I find does not suit my uses at all.

Unless you know the thread pitch of your current jewelry, any attempt at finding another manufacturer's threaded taper that matches your jewelry is going to be a hit or miss (but mostly miss) affair since there is no standardization on threading from one manufacturer to another. That is, if you can even find someone who makes them currently.

IF you *really* need them, you can have them made custom by someone like Steelwerks, but be prepared to pay a premium for them.
