Hijack -
Isn't discussing "children" against TOS?

Shouldn't that have been; "Ok UM's, that's enough!"? But we all know the reference being pointed to when UM is used anyway. So even if we used disjointed letters, yet we all knew that 'XL#$^@DR^IDL' meant 'children' - whoops meant UM. the thought is still against TOS.

It gets to the attempt at "thought policing". The Mods have to consider what is in our 'thought' and police it. Police brutality is a ongoing problem. We've seen people TAZERED for no good reason. It's created a tee shirt - 'Please Don't TAZ Me Bro!'

The 'right' would like to inhibit our ability to wear a tee shirt like that - finding it offensive to mock a policeman, especially one wearing an American Flag on their sleeve. Yet the left says we have a Constitutional right to burn the flag.

It was those people who voted and got us George Bush in the White House. Therefore if it wasn't for George Bush - there'd be no thread hijacking!

Indeed it is.  Unfortunately, some "adults" don't seem to be able to avoid acting like children.

No, we don't.  What's in your thoughts isn't anyone's concern but your own.  What's being judged is your behavior, same as always.

this is an off topic discussion, isnt it?

How can off topic discussions violate anything?

Right, well, it looks as though the whole issue's taken far too seriously. It's a website, nobody forces us to participate, and the rules aren't ours to make. There's obviously a buffer zone that allows for off tangent posts to be made during a discussion - let's enjoy it, and not contravene the rules by taking over threads in order to pursue our own agendas.

I'm still puzzled over the so-called factions that have been fighting over this, and over the zealoussness with which people defend their positions: talking about positions, everyone should bend over... now...

I think thread jacking/flirting is supposed to be in the random section.  I'm guessing if this was in random there would be more leeway.  Although I'm as confused as others.

People have basically admitted bullying in this thread so I don't see how they are so clueless to see what they are doing wrong. I M O S H O.

Define bullying?.... are we all so sensative that sarcasm is no longer at all acceptable?.

No you didn't.....:)...and incidently... I can take it......lol. It was a serious question?. And yes...ModXI and I have danced a bit. I have never questioned her authority, or her responsibilty. I may question her, decisions, but when it comes down to it. I would not wish to be a Mod here.

Well then you understand the pointlessness of this because in the most simple terms regardless of whether or not they think they are right, they are wrong and that is all that matters in the end.

Hmmmm... it DOES seem as though some people are prepared to dish it out, but aren't quite ready to eat what's given to them in return   . But do we really care? No  .

This is where you and I  will have to agree to disagree. No one, is above mocking, myself included. Differing view points are a part of life. If a person is willing to take an imovable stance, that person should be take to take the heat too.
