Are we allowed to make parody profiles here?  Suddenly I am dying to have a profile like a proper domme!

I've seen some hilarious parody profiles, so I suspect as long as it was meant as general comedy rather than making fun of an individual, it would be fine.

lateralist1 -> RE: On domme profiles (2/3/2008 4:42:56 AM)

I tried to tell subs who I am most of them do not seem to care so I stopped.
I also tried telling subs what I don't do because they assumed things about me because I am a Domme
I am a dominant woman who happens to be very kinky.
I'm looking for a submissive lover who is very kinky.
Who he is as a man comes first.
I could write a thousand things on my profile and without giving it at least ten years of your life you won't know me. I'm sort of complex lol.

' You Dared to look at my profile '

I once opened a profile to read that I should not even dare to think I can read the profile without sending a tribute.

I sent an email saying: Oops! I did not know it would cost money to read your profile! I am so sorry! How bout you read mine and we call it even?

She actually responded in good humor ;-)

Cheers,

Sea

This is an excellent question.  I often feel frustrated with subs who venerate me for my title but seem to think nothing of me as a person.  I prefer to be viewed as a person who happens to be a Mistress and judged on that rather than as a Mistress only.  If someone gives me a compliment I want to be able to believe it, so I would much rather have someone say that my journal entry touched them deeply than to have someone say that I am beautiful.

LadyNTemptress -> RE: On domme profiles (2/3/2008 2:57:57 PM)

I am first a woman that happens to be Dominant in nature. I think that comes across in my profile as well as being always present in my interactions with people.

MissHarlet -> RE: On domme profiles (2/4/2008 8:27:12 AM)

Just as I want to know the mind of a submissive  first I want the submissive to know me as a person first and hope my profile reflects that.

One of the first questions I ask a perspective submissive is " how can you enhance my life in non sexual and non financial ways? and I do NOT wish to read ...however pleases you" .... because I want to see if they can think ... and few can even attempt to answer that question ... it is a shame .....

PanthersMom -> RE: On domme profiles (2/4/2008 12:18:28 PM)

i am many things, a wife, a mom, a daughter, a student, a human being and yes, a dominant person.  i cannot see the sense of pretending the other facets of my personality do not exist.  a diamond has many facets and they shine brilliantly when brought into the light. people are much the same way. if i were to present only the dominant side of my personality i would be presenting a face that was one sided and shallow because i am so much more than that.  there are those who put on the mask and present the show for the attention it brings them, but i prefer being myself and quietly living my whole life being a whole person.  like me or not, i really don't care, i'm me and those who do like me are the ones that matter.

ClicheDomme -> RE: On domme profiles (2/5/2008 12:40:52 PM)

Before joining CollarMe.com just recently, I viewed alot of profiles, most of the Femdom variety, and saw that little trend, that obvious "Worship Me" banter/blah and decided to make a parody profile. Once in a while I'll get messages from subs/Doms/Dommes who're like "Your profile's funny" cause they get the whole joke of it. As for the others, it seems that my mockery of this lifestyle is lost on them. That is not to say I look down on my fellow bdsm lifestylers, but to merely state that most people respond to cliche profiles/personalities because that is what they are, inevitably, attracted to. I update my journal so that others who might be interested may get a little taste of who I iz...

Toreii -> RE: On domme profiles (2/5/2008 3:12:10 PM)

Personally I try to give someone an idea of what I want and where I want to go and who I am...... if that seems appealing then they get to know me.  Not to change the subject........ but whats up with 18-19-22 year olds proffessing to be Masters and Mistresses? Or ones demanding "tributes"??  Well I guess we all need a giggle now and again hmmmm?

AgonyExcellence -> RE: On domme profiles (2/7/2008 12:32:26 AM)

You need to take into account that this is a BDSM site and the profiles are hopefully mostly pertaining to that. Granted that sometimes gets expressed in some rather unusual ways but nonetheless this site is devoted to BDSM. I am assuming people that are looking at my profile didn't pop me up to see if I am into gardening and cooking. In my real time life I hope to come across as a person first, a Domme second and a Sadist third, but in writing a profile for Collarme, I am pretty much going to stay on the subject at hand, BDSM. ......Agony
