Quite frankly, there's no winning with this one. If she was to impose her baby talk into a conversation with me, she'd be imposing her kink on me. If I were to refuse to allow her to have a baby talk conversation with me, I'd be being "get off my street".

My personal view is that there's a time and place for everything.

I agree.  In addition I do not see people telling her it is wrong to engage in baby talk.  Only that it is probably not something they would respond to kindly, if at all.  Just as she has the right to talk like a baby, we have a right to want to puke.  I don't see that as being self righteous.  It is having an opinion on character based on their text.  In a text medium such as this, you take your chances how people will see you.
The original post was a non baby talk way to open up this dialog on why people like it or not.  The way I see it, people talked about why they like it or not.  There is nothing hypocritical about it.

is it not harder to type in baby talk?

it would irritate the hell out of me.  personally if you want to talk like that - thats fine but you will get 'bullied' for it i would have thought and probably ignored.

it depends on the level of babytalk as well i guess as to whether people could be bothered to read or disipher (sp) it.

i do occasionally speak childlike and its usually when either very tired, very upset or extremely excited and  i just cant form all the words, though i would make a concious (sp) effort if i was with other people who didn't know me particularly well to get all the words in.

Last night when I was on the phone with my girl, we slipped into this strange zone for a few moments of doing "The Baby Talk" thing for a few.   However, we were not complete freaks about it.  Meaning it's not something we'd maintain nor do for a prolonged period of time.   Her and I both are pretty Eclectic and love to play with a wide range of things.

Basically, I think I'd want to bitch slap somebody silly, if they had a strong fixation for doing nothing but Baby Talk most of the time.  I actually have a problem with anybody who has a fixation about anything.   I'm Eclectic and expect the same out of a partner.

People who are into only one thing to the point it's a fixation just drive me nuts.  Be it with "Baby Talk", being a puppy dog or a kitty cat or whatever it is.  I personal love multi-functional human beings.   If somebody is stuck in a one way rut, it's boring boring boring...

A little baby talk, sure that's great.  However, too much of it.. and I'm wanting to bitch slap myself and her back to reality at the same time.

The purpose of writing is to communicate. Doing so in babytalk, third person, etc, makes it harder for others to understand what you have written, therefore defeating the purpose of writing in the first place. Excessive misspellings and bad grammar are just as painful to read, IMHO. Any of these things can keep me from reading what someone has to say, merely because it is so difficult and i may not feel like trying to parse out what the writer is trying to say.

I Love and enjoy verbal humilation.  However, I'm not going to engage in it with everybody on this message board.

Personally, if I were to read posts by somebody who was baby talking, I would not take nor treat it very seriously.   Might be good threads to make some wise crack jokes in.   Ummm... might be a good outlet for my verbal humilation kinks.

Tell ya what, if you wanna do baby talk expect for me to enjoy my verbal humilation kink on your threads at the same time.  I'm certain even the likes of Domiguy would be more than willing to see some threads by you too.

Might turn into a good source for endless humor all at your expense babe.  Just don't expect anybody to treat you or the topics you are posting about seriously.

I find baby talk eons less annoying than those who use slashes, those who speak in 3rd person or those who have to vomit up the word "sir" in every other word.

I've never seen the discussions that revolve around slashspeakers or 3rd person speakers pushing their kink up on others. So I see no reason why babytalkers should get that condemnation while the other two groups don't.

Just go for it girl

I think some of it is that our brains have been trained to read 'adult speak'
and baby talk is just too much work.

Plus, for me since I have friends who engage in 'litel speek' for different reasons it is hard to know that engaging in conversations about "adult topics" is ok.

As long as the posts you make are legible, you should be able to talk however you want.  If you want to act like a baby or little kid, go for it.  Everybody here should be able to act however they want, as long as it doesn't break the rules, or violate anyone else's rights.

And no, "the right to hear everyone around me talking like an adult" is not one of your rights.  Get over yourself.

Babytalk doesn't break the rules here.  If people don't like your threads, they shouldn't read them, in my opinion.
