Would you also say that firefighters should be made to adopt children that they save from a building that the parents set on fire to get rid of the children?

I'm not sure if you're serious or not, but I'd love to tease you about this. ;)

I make this analogy, because in both cases, the parents had a way of "dealing" with an issue (via killing it), yet someone stops them from "dealing" with it in the "efficient" fashion.  In this case, the "issue" are the children, and you seem to be proposing that the people who prevent the "dealing with the issue" need to be the ones who take on the responsibility for "dealing" with it because they were the ones who objected to the initial "solution".

In the case I'm citing, the parents are burning down a building to deal with their children issue, and the fire fighters are stopping it against the parents' wishes.  Making the firefighters adopt the children here strikes me as rather similiar to making pro-lifer's adopt the children of other irresponsible individuals.

A firefighters responsibility, and livelihood is to save children in this instance. Their place in society revolves around saving these children. It is no one's responsibility, particularly not any nosy pro-life types, to control what comes and goes in my vagina

I don't think military service should be mandated, I personally don't want someone on the job who don't want to be there and will do a half ass job and not care it's a half assjob.

do people really want someone who could care less about doing the job doing it?

I believe the US should  quit trying to fix the world .. close all its borders ... stop sending money out of the country ... learn to produce what it needs .... and take care of it own before it takes care of others ... .and do I know how to make this happen NO.. .thus the controversy .. but ......
THIS I BELIEVE

many other countries have compulsory military service (Israel comes to mind).. they don't seem to be having a problem with half-hearted service.
Frankly, I think that the U.S., as a whole, is a nation of sheep. Too many people expect OTHERS to protect us. How many of us, really, could do any kind of defense in the event of another 9/11?
See the movie Red Dawn.
Yeah, Hollywood, I know. But IMNSHO, I think that movie made a  good point as far as self-defense.

sorry if I'm rambling at all, I gotta go nap before work./...

I believe you should have a permit to have a child/children and that it is only obtainable after a long series of  parenting class/classes......
I believe if you have one child and you need public assistance to raise that child you should be penalized for having more .. not rewarded by getting more money...( and I KNOW this one will get me flamed)

I believe you are too sensible !
I believe it was me who turned "who is viewing me " red and I believe I like what I saw lol

Thank you ... sometimes age has its benefits ..we become sensible even when we know it will not come to pass ....but the vision sustains us.

PS... Its always nice to know someone likes what they see when they "peek"

Or Dr Strangelove. It's about a nuclear bomb, after all. Might as well go all out and nuke the planet. Like that we can sort it all out later lol.
