Ultimately though, I believe in love.

I believe that saying this is nothing but empty rhetoric.
Why?  Because love means  different things to all people.

That's why I said that I believed in love :-) . It's purrrsonal and, judging by your reaction, controversial too  .

Controversial, huh?  Hmm, I have a few of those.

I believe that racial profiling works.
I believe that people who drive flashy cars have small penises, small brains, or both.
I believe that most guys that ride Harleys are middle aged jackasses trying to look like tough guys.
I believe that rap and hip hop are not music.
I believe that straight men should not dance unless they are doing it to get laid.
I believe that alcohol is a food group.
I believe that women look best in dresses and skirts.
I believe that women look bad in jeans.
I believe that border control should include land mines (with skull and cross bones signs of course).
I believe that sports of all kinds are fucking, boring, waste of time, yawnfests.
I believe that B-movies are art (not Indy movies or independent movies, but real tits and ass, overly violent, B-movies)

Okay here I go: (Do hate the hater)

1. I believe that all White Americans should be a slave for a year- to take that chip of their shoulder.

2. I believe that people should be given an exam and then a license to have children. Too many children in foster care and being killed by abusive parents.

3. I believe that death row should be death month. You're tried, guilty, get death, and within a month GONE. And as China does it send the bill for your death to your family. I believe this would lower crime quite a bit.

4. I believe rapist and sexual deviants should be sterilized for first offense then become a Eunuch for second offense to serve in the hotel and hospitality industry.  :)

Iv'e got some crazy ones.

I believe in legalizing infanticide for infants with extremely severe disabilities if its what the parents want.
I believe Mohammad was a vicious and inhumane thug although I do not paticularly detest Islam.
I believe that collarme attracts an unusually sensitive subset of the population.
I believe that affirmative action for blacks and native americans is reasonable but that it is rediculous to extend it to hispanics.
I believe war can make a positive difference.
I believe that Kate Beckinsale is plain.

I don't know whether this is controversial or not, but for me a long held belief is the return of bond slaves. In that a person holding a debt, may pay off that debt by working for a creditor for an agreed time until that debt is cleared. In this day and age where most work during the day, the 'payment'  could be made in the evening and other times off like weekends. A severe cut in free time is a good way to curtail taking on a debt in the first place and for those that have trouble with their funds, working 'in kind' might be of a help to them.

What other controversy, oh yes, that one, adopt an element of Sharia law , or old  Anglo Saxon law in that someone who causes death, injury or  harm or damage to a person or their family has to pay, 'Blood money' or wergild  in anglo saxon. To me, this might be a way to curb people's liking to hurt people. Honestly, it is got to be better than what exists now, a spell in prison or community work  and sod all for the victims.

Victim compensation schemes, get real, the state should not be paying, the perpetrator should!

I wasn't going to raise this point, but here goes...

I think most Black Americans who mention black slavery should be a slave for a year -- to get some idea of the heritage they lay claim to.

Health,

There should be a fee for having children. People with above children should not receive tax breaks simply because they are breeders.Gay marriage. That kindness rises above nastiness every time, in the end.If not love they neighbor then at least get to know them because you may just end up loving them.Legalize weed. That free seminars/classes be available for a variety of things such as basic home economics which includes how to budget money for anyone under the age of 25.Birthdays are important and no one should have to work on theirs.Kids should walk home from the bus stop instead of being picked up. (wtf is up with that anyway? why can't they walk 4 houses down, to their house in perfect weather?? is it just a michigan thing?)Aw dang I ran out of time for all the stuff I believe in, but will leave a parting belief. I believe that people really are good, sometimes they just need it coaxed out.

I believe that racial profiling is "UnAmerican."

I beleive that hip hop and rap have changed the course of music and culture. Much of it has been refreshing.

I believe that borders should be controlled. However, if there are illegal immigrants that are actually making more of the American Dream than the white citizens of this country that continually bitch about the illegals...Then we should export those "citizens" to have to go live in the shittiest parts of Mexico.

I believe that many people in this Country still hold a very archaic view when it comes to Americans of a different ethnicity.

All religion is evil
People that play video games all day should be chased through a futuristic landscape by mutant crime lords
Modern art is nonsense
People that let their dogs foul public footpaths should have their house invaded by a herd of untrained elephants
Queue jumping should be a criminal offence
I'll think of more for sure.

I like all these except for one: modern art isn't nonsense. Otherwise, cool list (especially the bits about the elephants and the video games).

Good point Aswad.

Slavery  in the Western world has been dead now many years? Exactly, no-one I believe in present age can blame anything on their not so recent past. If they would like to, let them look at the place of their origin and compare, what they have now compared to what they would have in their country of origin. Those that still feel agreived, have the option to return if they want. I don't doubt funding will be made available to transport a person in luxury should they desire to go back.

I am not for slavery as it was in our history, modern values  I hold true in most senses. What it was at the time was commerce, I am not in a position to criticise values of the past, especially as my ancestors being ship builders, built a few of the transporters, responding to a customer's requirement.

My culture has made use of African slaves, but a more ancient culture, that of the Italians in the form of Rome made use of English slaves. All of us have been enslaved through time, but we do not blame our past for our current existance.
