Seems the question is answered by where the greatest comfort and fulfillment is found. I may not always enjoy the demands of being a poly Dom but nothing can replace the rush I get out of the reactions I get out of My girls......adoration, joy, fear, pain and myriad other real time responses to immediate stimuli. Can't do without it so I ride the tide through the stress when it comes.

Some days.ya just don't give a shit. If you alter your perspective, declaring you are not feeling dominant, is dominant.

Jeff

That's one of those strange things that irk me.

I really have no desire to be forced into a role because someone else expects me to behave in a certain way.

I know what that score is, and I hate bottoming to a slave who wants me to enable her all the time, exactly the way she desires it.

And isn't saying no to that at my whim, really a Dominant decision?

Yes it is, if thats how you feel...:). It works for me

*Fast Reply*

I feel Human Most of the time, and in that, this Human Condition, I often feel that the lables I have chosen for myself do not always apply. I find looking into the eyes of my girl and how she looks to me for many things gives me the strength to realize the importance to continue on with the choices I have made and to try always to do the right thing even when I feel less than Dominant and more like Mud.

As Always

antipode , [:D]right on the Hammer . As you have stated , whilst also remembering all are born Submisive , it is the baby whom cry's the loudest and longest and also manages to steal his or her sibling's dummy soon after that this trait is noticable from an early age . Then lifes circumstances and situations forge an already trait developing dominance , from the stronger submisive comes the dominant m/f .
Which is something as stated by antipode do's not ever leave you even under the most out of normal experience range for humans .

One word:  Yes

This can be followed by many reasons.  Life sometimes piles more on than I am equipped to handle in 24 hours.  I would be more a dictator than a dominant at that point so it is time to step back and just be.

I think that most people have days when they question who and what they are, whether it be as a Dominant, submissive, switch, Doctor, Lawyer, Baker, dad, mom, child, human being.  Some aspects are questioned more than others, but the ones that endure are the ones that truly define the person in the long run.
