Status: offline 		I can pretty much recite Casablanca word for word.  I voted for that.

Like Water for Chocolate was awesome, as scifi said.

Bridges of Madison County was also very good.

Roman Holiday was sweet, as was Sabrina, as was Breakfast at Tiffany's (pretty much anything with Audrey Hepburn!).

I think the classics did romance better than modern movies.

An underrated movie and one of my favorites:  "(Her Majesty) Mrs. Brown", with Judy Dench & Billy Connelly.

Edited to add:  Same Time Next Year was awesome, too.

But, "The Notebook" and "Love Story" have to be among my favorites.
 
I love the line from The Notebook..... "It's Still Not Over!", I say it often.

Status: offline 		This might sound sort of weird, but how about ConAir?  It's very, VERY difficult to make me cry because of a movie, but at the end of the movie when Nicholas Cage is reunited with his wife and young daughter he's never seen before, it is probably the most beautiful scene ever in a movie.

And you have to add in that if you watch ConAir with a woman, and can mimic Cameron Poe's southern drawl (which is not too far from the one i managed to naturally speak without), you're very likely to get laid.

Status: offline 		Oh I just watched a beautiful movie last night, 'Mistress of Spices'. I highly recommend it, although it has no 'stars' in it and the producer is an unknown. It is similiar to 'Chocolat'.

I don't really like the genre (or Romantic Comedies for that matter), but the two above cross over into things with a little more intrigue...
