I have been in BDSM since 20 years now...on and of ...because very élitiste.
But I Had never seen <VANILLA>
what does it mean?
Romantic?

"Vanilla" means not kinky.

Someone who doesn't do BDSM is termed "vanilla".

Kinky people often refer to "vanilla aspects of their life" which usually means career, family, things outside of BDSM that they do/are interested in.

In the BDSM context, vanilla means non-alternative sexuality. In other words, 'normal'. It could refer non-kinky sex or people who practice non-kinky/non-alternative sex only. For example, you might say "We had vanilla sex last night." I t could also refer to no power exchange that occurs in most alternative lifestyle relationships.

When I think of vanilla I think the plain old boyfriend/girlfirend, husband/wife, ect.

J'aimerais aussi rajouter que trop souvent, certains feront référence aux activités non BDSM comme des activités "Vanilla", c'est-à-dire s'ils aiment faire du vélo, du ski, crocheter, et bien, ce sont les activités "vanilla". Personnellement, je ne vois pas le rapport mais pour plusieurs, il semble en avoir un!

Awww... sorry sweets. Basically you know everything that has been said :-) Essentially, frenchpet described what vanilla is, that is more conventional sex, and I added that some people call non-kink activities like hobbies vanilla and added my 2¢ that this made no sense to me.
