Well I wouldn't try something based on having seen it in porn, in general.
A: no it's not safe. It is a great way to introduce bacteria into the urethra, bladder and kidneys. You might need all of those some day.
B: urethras don't shrink back after being stretched like that.
C: it's your body, you decide.

Rule number one of online porn and healthy sex:

BJ, Ty, Martha, Goatse, Bubdzia, Veronika, LatexAngel, Mia, Violett, and so forth, are trained professionals and not to be emulated.

Attempting to do so- without already being at the point where it's no longer emulation- is bound to be a pain, at best.

Health,

Ooooh, that's just a flesh-eating bacteria laden bladder infection just waiting to happen.

Extreme, yes, but also very hot. I enjoy urethral play although never place anything in there that isn't A. Correctly sterilised - boiling does not kill all bacteria. B. Designed to go in there.

I wonder....do you think she took antibiotics to prevent infection?
btw.....I also LOVE urethra play....I do it semi often[;)] i am going to get a set of sounds in the not too distant future.

We had a woman present with incontinence, bladder infection, kidney infections. after getting some of her history and listening to her describe things it turned out her husband had been using her urethra for sex for some time. As part of her treatment at the time(over 20 years ago) we tried to catheterize her, but it kept coming out, the balloon couldnt get big enough to stay put.  The prognosis was that she would be inontinent for the rest of her life. I dunno what would happen today, but its not something I would wanna look into too deeply.

Breathe, there's no way of knowing, but I'd hazard a guess in that she didn't. Her urethra has been exposed to prolonged play for some time and she's built up her own immunity, with the membranes/delicate tissue becoming tougher. I saw a video of a domme shoving a stilleto heel into a man's urethra and using it to fuck him with, the only barrier used prior to insertion was the quick wipe of the heel with a wet wipe. This was conducted on a dirty bed and the man was also shoving his filthy fingers into his urethra when the heel wasn't in there. At the expense of building up such an immunity and a hardening of the delicate tissue, makes you wonder what else is going on in there medically speaking.

While I like urethral play I always use sterile gloves and instruments come either in their own sterile blister packs or are autoclaved. I also ensure the person is scrupulously clean, ie a thorough shower prior to play, same with myself and it kind of negates using sterile instruments if surrounding areas aren't clean prior to play.

You could consult a kink aware doctor. I definately would!

MissMorrigan -> RE: Is this safe? (2/18/2008 8:50:51 AM)

Yep, very wise. And also remember that if you stretch tender tissue beyond its capability then you've rendered it (caused a small tear) and that means it's open to infection. Also, there's a possibility of scar tissue build up and believe me, no one in their right mind would want that in the area of their urethra.
