At that point, if they brought me a gift I'd be surprised and if it were flowers, I'd just get up and leave.

[:-] I'm taking notes here... Would chocolate be better ?[&:] wine ? (these are the 3 things I always give to friends) OK, that wouldn't be something surprising, I guess the next time I court someone I should work on making surprising gifts (I hope it's still OK to offer these to friends !)...

[search surprising gift]glasses, plates, books, lamps, CDs, sex toys, pictures, perfume, kitten, piece of meteorite, mirror, gun, pen, tickets for an opera, keyboard, teapot, chessboard, rucksack, bike saddle...[/search surprising gift] No, I can't find anything that would be both surprising and have fair chances to be a pleasant surprise.

Of course ! Candies ! As in the song. I put the link for you, KC692 [;)].

My point was that for me, at least, a gift would reflect that the person took time and energy to get to know me well enough to find me something that I'd value.

And, as an aside, I think taking that time to get to know me than showing up for a meeting and being as you were in email or at the munches is enough. I'm not kinky to get gifts or tribute or whatever -- I am, cause I am.

Love, Peace, Hugs, Kisses, Whips & Chains,
TammyJo

Let me see how quickly I learn, smiles.......

You got quite a lot of vocabulary already [sm=lol.gif]
It's quite a sad song, but at least the poor guy offered an original gift...

-"On" should be "one", but it's generally used for "we", in oral speech.
-"surtout" is "above all"
-"À huit heures" is "At eight o'clock". It didn't translate it correctly because the accent was missing on the "A".
-"Y en a" is a short form of "Il y en a" : those four words contain the 2 strange pronouns of the french language : "y" is a place, "en" is er... anything.
Ex : "Do you have candies ?" would be "As tu des bonbons ?"
The answer could be "Oui, j'en ai" (yes, I have some)

Q : Have you ever been to XX ? (Es-tu déjà allé à XX ?)
A : Oui, j'y suis déjà allé.
You can also say "J'y vais", which means "I'm leaving". In this case "y" represents an undefined place !

I think those two little words are the most complicated things in the french language, but you'll get used to them :).

Your question was "Est-cela qu'elles appellent le charme français ?" Apparently automatic tranlators aren't perfect yet[;)]. You have something to complain about : How many lashes will your pet get for that ? [sm=lol.gif]

Vous êtes si mignon pour être un âne si futé!! Est ce ce qu'elles appel Français charment?

Just to clarify matters, who would be giving these lashes???? I am assuming you are talking about LA, smiles....and if so, in that case, I guess she would decide, but I'm sure if you ask VERY nicely, she might let you have some input as to the amount.

Why is it that every Dom Lady in UK wants a tribute just for chatting..Are there no real Dom Ladfies who want to play for there own personal satisfaction rather than financial! The whole UK scene is about money!!!!!!

I know of nothing in the UK, but can tell you as a dominant lady in the US, I find nothing more insulting than a man offering me money or gift tribute, on initial communication.

Actually, I find more insulting the ones who write saying, "I'm going to be passing through your area on such and such a date. Can I arrange a session?" [:'(] I *know* I didn't mention "pro" or refer to money, even obliquely, in my profile.

I had one of these just yesterday.

The boy in question doesn't want a prodomme. He wants no strings play, and aren't we just so honored to be asked?

I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one! I get a bunch of 'Merican business men coming through who'd like to experience a French Maîtresse. I had one who even offered to pay for my cab to his hotel! Isn't that wonderful of him!

I also find this insulting.

But I think it reflects some people's own feelings that a scene is just casual, is just temporary and just fun.

There also might be a bit of the "Madonna/Whore" issue where if you are kinky woman that must mean you'll scene with anyone, right? *rolls eyes*

If someone does this frequently doesn't it also suggest that either they do sometimes get scenes this way (thus they continue the approach) or they don't but can't learn from this fact and thus don't have scenes.

Unlike a lot of the others, I see nothing wrong with tribute if both are in agreement . Although, LA, [8|] even with me having no ethical problem, I think I should start saving now, because I imagine I would have to save a while to even get close to paying a fitting amount!![:D][:D] Plus, the enjoyment would be well worth it anyway, lol!!

I have a paypal account. Let me know when when subbing becomes $ rewarding. I want in on that action.

This sort of "cry of help" is a good example of how people sometimes manage to "shoot themselves in the foot" by showing a complete inability to see another person's point of view. (Not a pretty trait in either a potential dominant or submissive)

Obviously, the "intent" was to create a situation where noncommercial dominant women would rush forward to prove the contention was incorrect... and so serve as a browsing ground for the poster... and saving him the labour of really searching for a partner.

Instead he's created a situation where it's not unreasonable to feel that he's insulted just the population from which he wants to feed.

Just a suggestion folks: Before you hit the [OK] box, try to clear your mind and put yourself in the place of the person or population you are trying to reach. If you were them, how would you react.

Now Sir and miss, this was actually quite clever and i didn't see it until You pointed it out. So can i use it to flush out Doms? LOL.
