This girl is new to the group and as of late have been interested in learning about Gor.. at present i am in a 24/7 D/s relationship and i have recently started reading the Books on Gor by John Norman.. as the books are fantasy this girl wonders how do you incoporate the Gorean lifestyle with the real world.. Thank Y/you in advance for allowing this girl to ask questions..

Respectfully,
waterdance aka babygirl to her Master

Well. 'babygiorl'
As you HAVE stated, the Gor books ARE fantasy, however, WE (as in all of us who believe)
It not only CAN be seen as a reality, it can be held to be a reality AS LONG as you believe it to be a truth

greetings, and welcome waterdance

it is always good to ask questions in an attempt to understand not only other peoples ideals but your own inclinations as well.

though i have not read all of the series, i can tell you that the books are a fun read, at least for me. often i felt as if i was reading about my life, about how i felt, and the dreams i used to have about being under the dominance of a man.

I see that you state you are owned, my regards to your Master, please. I was wondering if he is Gorean.

if he is not, is he curious about this way of life?

One thing to know about gorean mastery and slavery is that it is absolute. there are no time outs, or limits. there are no safewords or contracts (in general). a girl is the valuable property of her master, and she is treated as just that.

If you are simply curious as to "how" we do this please feel free to read the different posts here on the boards, and ask as many questions as you like. i for one love talking with others who are curious. My one piece of advise tho, is to not 'go it alone.' if your master is also interested then perhaps he should read these boards and pose questions to the more experienced Gorean men.

a slave is her masters art work, molded and taught to be pleasing to him. I have seen situations where some have been so drawn to our ways, that they forgot who they served.

i do hope to see questions from you and your master soon

I wish you most well.

In Service,

edana

Read the books. Read them all. Read them in order if you can. Then read them again. You will find that incorporating what you read will come far more naturally than you think. After you've read them (all, a time or two) you will also be in a position to know whether what someone is saying to you about what "Goreans do" is consistant with, or inconsitant with, what you have read there. Then, seek out others who seem to understand what's in the books as well as you do, and who live like that. They'll have good information for you about how to do it.

In the meantime, while you are "doing your homework", ask youself what a small band of Goreans might do if they found themselves stuck on earth. The answers will come far easier than you think.

This is what I belive would happen if a smal band of Goreans got stuck on Earth:

They would get arested, killed or similar for atacking pepole whit big swords and battle axes or abducing women.

They would be taken to Area 51 and experimented whit as they dont age and have a vigor that Earth humans do not.

I don't think so. I suppose there would be one bonehead in every crowd who decided he'd rather go down swinging his trusty sword than adapt to a new environment. He'd deserve, and get, the Darwin award for failure to adapt. Mostly though, Goreans trapped here would do what we do. They'd make a home here among those who see life very differently than they do while maintaining their own way of life among themselves to the extent that they could.

There are a great many cultures like that here in the U.S.A. They live and work alongside others who don't share their way of life. The man who works across the hall from me just now, for example, is a Sikh. His customs and way of life among his own kind are probably very different from mine, and yours, but we manage to get through the day without resorting to sword-play for the most part. I just have to remember, when I'm dealing with him, that I'm not dealing with a Gorean, and he has to remember that I'm not a Sikh.

Respectfully,

Perhaps they would adapt, but i think it would depend alot of what types of Goreans there were, slavers that have been on Earth, or talked alot of earth girls, surly would adapt well, but what of iletarate farmers that would baclk at such magic as a TV set or a computer, they would ahve alot more problems.

Tal and greetings....

Like any group who suddenly ends up in a new place, there would be some who would adapt, some who would pull into their shell and refuse to associate with any not of there group as much as possible and some who would learn everything they could about the new culture. Some might even decide the way Earth males behave is the proper way to live and except for birth, no longer be what we would call Goreans. What caste they had before would have an impact on how they adapted but Goreans (from the books) are still of Earth Human stock. Even the peasants would be no different than a southeast Asian peasant who comes here as a refugee.

A Gorean in a suit and tie is no more uncomfortable than anyone else wearing one who almost never wears them. As for sword swinging...that can happen even without there being Gorean. There is the story from someone I know called< "I'll see your six and raise you thirty." Ask politely and I might tell it.

Be well all....

Malkinius

You might be right Malkinius, some would adapt, some would not, but there would be problems, remember the Stamilization Serum, All Goreans take it, and it esentialy make them different from a normal Earth human, ofcourse Transhumanist like me would have a field trip.

if you want a more exiting life, sure, but no, while i strongly belive anything is possible, i dont think it is werry likely to be any Goreans wandering around in this version of our world. Ofcourse acording some some occult teories, any createion on the astral plane, like for example, the creation of a fictional setting that exisit in the imagination, will manifest, if not in this dimension, then in another, also acording to several teories of limitless universes, everything exist, in several forms, and Gor is bound to be in one of those limitless posibilites, so that it is out there, somwere, sure, everything is, including things like care bears, in some of those limitless univerers Gor and Care Bears is in the same universe.

I started studying Gor in May,I thoroughly enjoy reading of the lifestyle. It fits the old fashioned need of my Soul.I have learned some of people that practice this lifestyle do not follow the books but incorporate alot of the concepts into their lives.

it is strange, many Gorean lifestyle pepole adhere more to what is common among other lifestylers than what is used in the books.
