I would like to know more about the Prince Albert jewelry that can be worn by a man. Is this dangerous and how are they put on and kept in place. I would welcome any information from all on this subject as it is something that is of interest to me. Thank you. Irondipstick.

Hi Iron,

I have only known one man to have one, and he loved it. His wife, however, couldn't have sex with him anymore because it ripped her. It was a poly relationship, and his other wife had no problems.

My only suggestion is that you check carefully into tattoo and piercing shops. You want to have it done by a professional, and a reputable one. When my son got his tattoo at Chirstmas, the place did those, and had a lot of pictures as samples. But it's not something any males in my personal life have expressed interest in, so I haven't really researched it.

Sandy

Iron:

The Prince Albert is one of my favorite male piercings. I've owned and played with a plethora of men who have them. I also do them. You can see pics of one that I did, while I was piercing it, here....

http://www.mizsuz.com/gregpa.htm

This is one of the more 'severe' genital piercings primarily because the piercing actually goes through the urethra (as opposed to just through the skin, like a frenum for example).

I tell people that the thing they have to remember is that it is a major commitment in aftercare. Now, Ive seen these heal quite well in just two to three weeks; but longer is not uncommon (which is still a rather short time when compared to the apadravya which has a heal time of 6 months or more).

Men, as they get older, are notoriously prone to urethral collapse and/or obstruction. Anytime the urethra is 'damaged' and/or infected there is a possibility of scar tissue and scar tissue has the potential to become a keloid (a big knot of scar tissue). In the urethra a keloid can mean an obstruction. It's also possible that you won't know about this problem for several years down the line. Therefore, keeping the piercing free of infection is not only important for immediate healing, but it also important for urethral health in the years to come.

Every man I have ever known that got one loved (and still loves) it. Without exception. Most of them like to stretch up in size of jewelry after they have healed. The most common reason I've heard is because they like the extra weight. Most of the guys I know tend to like a 2ga although I do know someone with a 00ga. Most often the piercing is done with a 10g initially and by the time it's healed it's usually ready to stretch up to an 8 without having done anything other than care for it.

Every guy I know who has one says that it increases their sensitivity sexually (the piercing is at a guys 'sweet spot' on the underside of his penis where the glans meets the shaft). I have never had the jewelry, either a ring or a bar bell (I'm fond of the curved barbells that have door knockers on the ball at the top) be a problem during intercourse. Fellatio around the jewelry can be a challenge. I HAVE had the jewelry increase the stimulation to my g-spot, especially from a rear entry (doggy style, not anal penetration). If you find that your sensitivity is waning because you've had it for so long, but you don't want to stretch up, you can simply remove the jewelry for a few days (after it's fully healed) and putting the original jewelry back in will feel a bit like stretching and increase your sensitivity again.

These are just general answers. If you'd like more specifics about healing I'd be happy to provide that, simply shoot me an email.

Hope this helped.

MizSuz that was a very informative piece you just left and the pictures are worth at least a zillion words each. Thank you so much for the great information. Iron.

MizSuz -> RE: Penis jewelry (2/22/2004 8:12:30 AM)

It was my pleasure, Iron. I'm glad that I could help.

I do have one last statement, it's a disclaimer:

Prince Albert piercings, when they are done, must go through ONE side of the urethral wall and then the needle must thread up through the urethra to exit at the tip. This means the needle, with it's sharp point, has to traverse a short trip through the inside of urethra. It would be damned near impossible to pierce one side of the urethral wall and thread the needle through the inside of the urethra without damaging the inside of the urethra from the needle point. Receiving tubes are used to receive the needle once it has pierced the urethra so that the needle can be 'threaded' through the remainder of the urethra without damaging it. Not using a receiving tube is a surefire way to increase the chances of infections and keloids.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING DO NOT TRY THIS YOURSELF!!! SEE AN EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL!!!

Great piece of advice MizSuz and I hope all of the other fellows out there who are considering having this done will read this and do as you say. I can't thank you enough for this valuable information. Iron.

MizSuz -> RE: Penis jewelry (2/22/2004 10:04:47 AM)

Iron:

I inferred from your original post that you understood that there was jewelry, but I'm not sure that you realized it is a piercing. Did you?

Are you still considering one?

IronDipstick -> RE: Penis jewelry (2/22/2004 10:19:42 AM)

I was not sure exactly where and how the jewelry was connected to the penis and I am still considering it. Iron

Oh GOODIE! You're still considering it.

Let me please introduce you to the wonders of the "Prince's Wand." The following are taken from the site of "Steelwerks" who manufactures jewelry, much of it custom. There is a plethora of information on Prince's Wands on the internet if you only plug the phrase into a search engine.

If you have never done urethral insertion play (cathetars, sounds, prostate stimulation from the urethral side, etc.) then you may find this a bit disconcerting. I'd be happy to answer what questions I can, should you decide you have any.

Here are some articles and comment by users (also taken from the above website - I also suggest looking at BME's website for more info):

Enjoy.

MizSuz, thank you for the additional information on options available to myself and others. You are truely wonderful to share so much knowledge on this exciting subject. I might add that some of the photo's are most Exciting! Iron.

MizSuz -> RE: Penis jewelry (2/22/2004 12:22:21 PM)

Iron:

You are very gracious. <smile> I'm very glad to help.

But let me thank you, as well. This is a topic I enjoy very much; one that, while it is becoming more mainstream, is still a bit too edgy for most folks. I'm happy to have someone to share the information with!

p.a.?
''i'' was told.....prince albert's are noted for the male having troubles in urinating,..in that,..the piercing causes the penis to ''spray'' everywhere vs a frenum or such where the normal flow is not affected.

is this correct?.......i had thought,......of,......a p.a.---but when i was told,...it would cause trouble urinating,...making a mess everywhere everytime.......i chickened out.
the frenum was all i did....
thank you

All of my experience with PA's has been quite negative. I know several men who either have or have had them. One has stopped having sex entirely becuase that is the only way he could keep his jewelry. The others find that it made either them or their partners very uncomfortable and either took it out for sex, or all the time.

Based on what I've read here, though, I think I just managed to meet a bunch of people on one end of the bell curve

OOHHHHH!!! YAY!!! I love piercing!!

Hey Y'all-
You guys (well, some of you- I've been rather absent of late) know that I love to put in my two cents. I'd like to say that I've found some problems with P.A.'s and my anatomy, but I've had two boyfriends that had frenum piercings and I LOVED that. The P.A.'s tended to, ummm, rub me the wrong way.

It can make a mess urinating, especially if you use a ring instead of a curved barbell. If you use a curved barbell then you simply hold the bottom ball of the barbell against the hole and direct appropriately from the top.

It takes a bit of practice, and until the piercing is healed most guys just sit down to urinate. Once it's healed you can play with ways to hold it to find what doesn't make a mess for you.

It doens't have to be that big a problem. My experience is that guys who want them find a way to make it work.

service2U -> RE: Penis jewelry (1/18/2005 6:26:10 PM)

I have a PA (10 Ga.) and I have no trouble urinating. As mentioned previously by the individual with a bar (I have a captive ball ring), one only has to hold the ball gently up against the bottom of the penis. No problems. As far as sex goes, I have never had a problem or a complaint. The ring and ball are perfectly smooth and cannot scratch.

MizSuz -> RE: Penis jewelry (1/18/2005 6:44:28 PM)

For anybody who is interested I reuploaded the pics on the page I mentioned earlier in this thread.

It's a few pics of a PA I did a little over a year ago.

*grin* I've found that PA's rub me in alllllll the right ways. I LOVE the feeling.

I know someone who got his done well into his 40's. He's got it stretched to a 2 ga or a 0 ( I forget) and he tells everyone that he wishes he'd done it 20 years ago. He says it feels great during sex, and his partners have all had good things to say about it as well. He also likes the feeling of the weight of the jewelry.

sting516 -> RE: Penis jewelry (1/19/2005 2:35:40 PM)

i used to have a PA which got stretched to a 2g for me over time...i lost the 10g ring i had, or i'd put it in again...i do kind of miss it...not so motivated i plan on going out and buying a new ring for it though...also used to have 7 frenum bars...and the nips done...those were the days!
