Could anyone help me out with the topic penile insertion. I have a Mistress who wants to insert a qtip deep inside my penis i have heard of this practice but am afraid of damage to my organ because of not being sterilized. Is this Safe?

I don't think whether it is safe is the right question. The right question is: Will you live?

Men are catheterized all the time in hospitals for various reasons. I am sure if you look up information on that subject (catheters, catheterization) you will find all sorts of information about it.

The only thing that worries me about a Q-tip is leaving cotton behind inside an area where it is not designed to have things inserted in it.

Good luck!

If you have never been catheterized, then the size alone will burn, possibly cause you to bleed, the Q-tip would have to be extremely well lubricated. Even if a bit of cotton was left, you would pass it the next time you emptied your bladder. The problem I have with this type of play is later in life. This would be an irritant to your prostate gland. And it could eventually cause you to lose control of your bladder, or worse. Limited catheter play is one thing, with a REAL catheter. They are fairly inexpensive and available for purchase online. If you decide to do this, drink lots of water post play, to flush out your urethra, to stop the normal components ( ie uric acid)of your urine from burning and irritating your abraded flesh. Choices, choices, your call. Take care, Tess

I agree with Tess on many fronts in this. Especially the part about YOUR reponsibility in your post play healthcare. Drinking the water (or Cranberry juice) will greatly facilitate flushing and reduce the burn.

I do urethral insertion play quite often. I agree with Tess about 'later in life.' Not so much regarding the prostate, although an infection could cause that. However, my experience is that men, as they get older, are notoriously prone to urethral obstructions and collapse. A slight infection today has the potential to become scar tissue over the years. Scar tissue tends to beget scar tissue and then you have a mass of scar tissue large enough that you have difficulty urinating around it. I know older men who have been instructed by their doctor to use multiple qtips (very well lubricated) three and four times a day to keep the urethra dialated enough to allow for urination.

So the question becomes not so much will it harm you now, as much as does the practitioner (in this instance the domme) have enough concern over the long haul, when she may not be around anymore, for your well being?

For this reason I never do urethral insertion with anything that isn't sterile. Qtips are not sterile. Even in hospitals and doctors offices, if you need to be cathetarized it's done using some fairly stringent 'sterile technique' that most medical personnel learn early in their education but few lay people learn. For the record, alcohol not only doesn't sterilize things, but it doesn't even do a really good job as an antiseptic either. Alcohol is good for removing surface grime and oil...it does not disinfect and anyone who tells you it does is uninformed.

I'll give you an example: Did you know that you can open a sterile cath kit, lay it out to work with it, make sure you get the gloves on without contaminating them, etc., and then reach over the kit to get something and you have technically contaminated your sterile field, simply by virtue of reaching over the kit to get something?

Certainly not everyone who has qtips inserted get infections, but for ME it simply increases the potential for it and I'm not willing to do that sort of play on someone else without being able to say that I gave them as at least much protection as a healthcare professional would have. My argument FOR doing stuff like this in a private home or dungeon is that you are much less likely to have airborn pathogens (germs) of other sick people floating around.

For me, I simply won't take those kinds of risks, problems that could seem to not be a problem for years, with someone else's body.

I do, however, know how to sterilize things at home. It's an incredible pain in the ass without benefit of an autoclave, so I'm very judicious about how much of it I do because the preparations and subsequent clean up are a lot of work (I usually don't let other people do my own sterilizing so the work falls to me).

For two years I've been refusing to buy any more toys until I get an autoclave. Of course, I've got more toys than I can fit into my dungeon as it is, but I NEED an autoclave.

I digress...you probably are not likely to suffer immediate difficulties by having qtips inserted into your urethra. Whether or not you suffer later is yet to be seen.

listen to what MizSuz has to say on this. She knows what she is talking about.

We have a woman out here who absolutely loves inserting items into urethra's. Although she does it with knitting needles. She has them from small to large. Is it sterile? I highly doubt it.
I believe she uses neosporyn or something on them before she inserts them. Then goes very slow.

Anyway, the men say it burns like hell to pee for about 3 to 4 days after. Most have said they would not do it again. Of course its a great side show at a party though. Myself, I've never had it done. I'm way too much of a chicken to try. I listen and it doesn't sound like any real pleasure is derived out of it. Other than the one shoving the needle up your urethra.

I'd stay far away from Q-Tips. Yeah I know it claims they are sterile in the box. But once you open the box air gets to it that is far from being sterile. Aside from the fact some cotton may be left behind. What are you going to say in the ER? When the head of your penis is so swollen and you can't pee? Think about it.

OMG...I find that incredibly scary. Knitting needles have very sharp points that can scratch (which can lead to infection and subsequent scarring). Sounds do not.

I imagine it does, the inside of their urethra is probably scratched to all hell. Urethral insertion shouldn't be painful. If it is, you're doing it wrong.

Ixnay on the Qtip, in my humble opinion.

I spent a weekend with a great Dom who exposed me to sounds-play. It was pretty uncomfortable, but not painful, while it was inserted (though it was quite a bit uncomfortable once he hooked it up to a TENS and got the electricity going). A little later, though, it felt like my urethra had turned to shards of glass. The shaper pains passed within a few hours, but I was sore for a few days.

In retrospect, I put that experience in the "amazed I did it but wouldn't want to do it again" category. The sensation of having that particular area stretched was very strange and memorable. His sounds were clean, but not sterile, and inserting anything into the urethra borders on unsafe, even when done by doctors and nurses.

But if your Mistress wants to insert something up there, and/or you want to experience it, you can buy a box of disposable, sterile catheters from a surgical supply store. Here's an article on playing with those, and I'd add some betadine to the scene to be safer:

Happy kink-ing.

There is a large post on this subject about 6 months back with much information. I suggest changing your list above to 365 days and search the posts for this information.

Use a 'sound' and if this is your first time then no larger than 8mm in diameter.

You can also get sounds that can be attached to a TENs or electric generator.

Make certain that you use plenty of lubrication, and make certain that you have your own personal sound or other penile or anal device.

When I visit my medical matron, she has my stuff vacuum packed for me and sterile, but then I only holiday with her a couple of times a year.

Yes an autoclave is a necessity if you are doing a lot of clients; if not then a field hospital steriliser will do.

I play with penile insertions all the time. That said. NO Q-Tips. Not only are they not sterile.. They can scratch the uretha, and are not long enough to keep from dropping in and loosing. granted they can slide out again if they do in most cases, but not always. Knitting needles are another NO NO yet I hear about it all the time. They are often treated with paints that flake, and if you look at the microscopically they are rough as sandpaper and REMEMBER this is mucus membrane your up against, and the point can enter the bladder spincter or worse puncture the bladder.. they infection can set in.

However on a positive note. Urethral Sounds are readiliy available. However often times people use uteran dialaters in thinking that they actually have sounds.. The dialators are S- shaped.. sounds are in sometimes on curved at one end. Here is a Link that shows the Differnt types out there. http://www.bdgsales.com/sounds.html However it does not show the rosebud sounds which are my personal favorite http://www.extremerestraints.com/stat/NS170.html

The vibrating sound is awesome, and mr. S in San fran makes a flixible gummy worm type of sound that is wild. The key to this type of play is hygiene and sterilization, and making sure the toys and instruments are clean. Clavidicide is a great cleaner to use if you don't have access to an autoclave and those can now be purchased at beauty supply stores.

I also vote on the sounds.

Use things that are DESIGNED to be used in that fashion, just like you should with anal toys.

Sounds are inexpensive enough that you really have no excuse to NOT use them.

You can purchase one for under 20 bucks - and it's something you CAN sterilize (metal sounds can be boiled at least), and it's designed and *meant* to go there.

Outside of scar tissue - you also risk losing your little friend (or pieces of him) if you get a really bad infection that leads to other complications (knew someone that developed gangrene there as a result of an unseen/unresolved infection - not a pretty ending result on him).

Bladder infections can also occur and those can be very very nasty.

You can also rupture the bladder and the urethra if you force it in, or use something inappropiate (I'm thinking a knitting needle - some of them anyway - might been at risk of easily rupturing things you'd rather not rupture).

Not meaning to scare you off of it, just realize what the risks are and then learn how to properly do it to lessen the risks of a lifetime injury to something you hold very dear.

What a coincidence! I was first introduced to penile insertion play by a boyfriend who enjoyed shoving things into his own dick! I was amazed! And guess what his item of choice was? Q-tips!!!!!!! He found the stretching sensation very pleasureable.

That was years ago, and I could hardly bring myself to watch him without flinching, let alone do it myself! Ha ha ha! HOw the sands have shifted! Several years later I was coaxed into catherterizing one of my male playthings -- and there's been no looking back! Catherters and sounds are standards in my toybag now.

Sterility is VERY important, as is patience! I use a special antibacterial soap on my toys and my hands, and use rubber gloves. AND use the liquid (not the gel) KY, and use plenty of it!

Have fun, and play safe!
