Recently I stumble on more and more cam girls pretendning to be Mistresses and using the site for looking for a clientelle. And I was thinking that's not the reason the site is created for, so maybe there should be a way implemented to be reported such profiles with screenshots for example for authenticity and then dealt accordingly. It is quite irritating after writing almost a biography to a profile (since most of the Dommes hate one-liners, so fi You wanna stand a chance of being read, You have to put quite an effort in every message, regardless of the fact you get reply on ... say 10% of them) to find out that it is just a fake user, who is here to promote their stupid cam site. Share Your experience as well, please.

As far as i know it is not against TOS for professionals to be here.  In fact there is a section where they may advertise their services.

I wouldn't call the user a fake.  They are merely not what you are looking to find.

My suggestion is to shrug your shoulders and accept that this is the internet and every site may not have all the checks and balances you require.

I wasted a lot of time on scammers my first six weeks here -- both ones who messaged me, and ones I messaged.  I now find the scammer profiles easy to spot.  If the photo is the main reason you are writing, a good rule of thumb is: if the lighting looks like a professional shoot, the photo was taken professionally (either lifted from some site, or in use by a professional webcammer).

Profile wording is usually different.  Cammers construct their profile to appeal to as many potential clients as possible. ("Hey all you sexy sub men, hit me up!")  Many women on the site are so motherfucking sick of trollmail their profiles look more like: only seeking lefthanded men over six feet tall within 3 months of my own age.  Understanding this, I have written many women (both here and on Alt) who interested me, but I didn't fit their profile.  Several have dated me anyway.  Example: I am four years older than the max age on the profile of the woman I am currently seeing.

Professionals, if they're good, advertise to the target audience in a way that appeals to the target audience. Whatever they're doing appeals to you in some way, but, ultimately, they're not what you're looking for. So, if you want something different, your best bet is to rethink the way you're looking.

And, don't forget, some ARE looking for the cam girls. If they weren't getting business, they wouldn't be here. Consider this all a weeding tool...and be glad you learned how to spot what you don't want this early. There are better matches out there for you.

Welcome to the boards.  Your experience is common.  There's money to be made in selling sex, so we get threads about it all of the time.  I am unaware of any standing solutions to filtering the problem that you're experiencing.

I would like to note that prostitution itself (although not webcaming) is illegal, so I'm always a bit surprised that it's allowed on the site.  Then again, who's going to go to the police about it?  Anyone even care?

Hit the "report profile" button and move on. If enough people do it, the profile gets pulled.

Thanks CuriousLord for the welcoming message, as for what could be done I mentioned ... there are admins who deal with the reported profiles, but there is no report for fake users, which i think will be helpful. I cannot report them to any of the options mentioned in the report profile, cause as I see it they are not counted as spammers/scammers, since they are not sending messages around, but once they give you their YIM, Hotmail or whatever in the first few lines they tell you about their site - taking screenshot is easy and can be provided with the report then the profile dealt with. I think it will be useful (just my thought as mentioned in the name of the topic) and once they find themselves being deleted they would think again of investing time making profiles over and over again (maybe). And if I have a bad experience and my sharing it can help others avoid it, then this will be good think. I am not against people advertising their pro services, but at least they state in their profiles, that they are Pro and then one can decide for himself if he still want to pursue and message. If it is not mentioned however it is already faking and it takes time and effort from many people to find out soon enough they are wasted.
