Angel has endured much teasing for caling me Mommy on the phone a time or two infrot of his friends. Not intentionaly, mind you, and they always took it as a joke, but thats what he has done. He manages to stay away from goddess on the phone unless we are mid-scene. Most of the time its either my given name, Maam, or a handful of silly petnames he thinks of (He called me Squirtle the other night... *shrug*)
Fox calls me by my given name, pretty much all the time. The occasional Maam or Mommy slips in on occasion which is fine. He also refers to me as the best boyfriend ever, which we both find funny,and on here and in emails I am his Owner. Being southern, though, both boys have a lot less problem getting away with Maam in public. Fox has even done it in front of his sisters (thats a whole nother story, they have asked what the Maid of Honor's girlfriend does at a wedding when he told them about the one we are going to...)
When Kitten and I used to play, his code-word of sorts was sweetie. He NEVER used it, unless he was in a mood and being entirely too shy to ask me if he could come over. Any other time, conversation would be devoid of pet names and stuff on his side, but when he wasnted playtime he answered the phone (or replied to my hello) with Hey, sweetie, hows your day.
