Hi group, I like the look of this site, the site works smoothly, quickly and is arranged in a simple and logical way! I hope I have found a community where I can meet like-minded people, can fit in and be accepted.

Already I have a request to make to anyone reading this:

I have a friend who is being prosicuted for taking pics up girls skirts. He didn't touch any of them nor did he want to. He believes his motivation was based on risk and feels terrible about what he did. I've tried telling him it's not so bad, that that activity actually sells more newspapers but as far as he's concerned his life is over. He can't face the prospect of the story going public and is talking about killing himself. I know him well enough to take the threat seriously but I can't say anything to talk him out of it.

If you like me believe that this is not such a big crime and he's over reacting, please let me know. If you'd like to pass on a message of encouragement or advice I'll be sure to pass them on. He's a nice guy and doesn't deserve what he's going through. Any support for him would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading... If you want to know anything about ME, just ask. ;o)

Welcome to the forums. Where i live we just passed a law against this. If you have a law forbidding it then i think he should be prosecuted and held accountable. It was becoming a real problem here. Let me ask how you would feel if he photographed your wife or girlfriend.

Thanks for the welcome but I think you're missing the point about my friend. Perhaps you could read it again to see what I've Actually written.

Yes we do have a law here against that sort of thing, a little known one called 'outraging the public decency'. (not that you'd know it as certain newspapers over here sell extra copies when they print photos of this type)... If we didn't have a law here he wouldn't be in the middle of the prosecution now!
In reply to your question about if it was my wife or girlfriend? I wouldn't even know if he did, just as all the girls he photographed didn't know!

Well the first reply was a bit of a surprise! This was the last place I'd expected to see a 'hang em high by the ball's' type blanket condemnation! Especially from people who's lifestyle could be percieved as 'deviant' by so-called 'normal' society.

I believe I've made a mistake posting this question here so if anyone else wants to reply to it, I'm going to turn it into a poll in the 'off topic discussion' board... for the simpler members... and anyone else with a view on his Problem, not whether he should be strung up or not.

I know this guy well and understand what he's going through, because I met him when I was suffering the same health problem he suffers from. He's a nice guy and if you knew him as I do, you'd realise he's punished himself far more than the law ever could. The problem with the photos became something of a compulsion that bothered him so much that he was too embarassed to ask for help but was making good ground in beating it himself... I didn't find out about all this 'till after his arrest. He has suffered greatly as a result of all this and so have his family and close friends like me as we see him deteriorate. It's turned his life upside down and he has Still to be punished by law.

Nobody is suggesting he should not be prosecuted in law, not least him. But those of us who know him well, feel he has already more than paid in full for his crime as he has lost so much in the past year while this has been continuing.

While I welcome open discussion, this issue is not about guilt, innocence or punishment. This whole issue is one of PUBLICITY. It's the threat of PUBLICITY that worries him so much. He can't face the prospect of everyone who knows him finding out something he hated about himself and was taking steps to deal with. So lets keep this in perspective shall we?

He is not a rapist, he did not set out with the intention of hurting anyone or cause distress.

He was getting to grips with the problem himself and has since sought help with his problems.

As I said, he and his close friends and family have suffered over this (what was our crime apart from knowing him). None of his so-called 'victims' were even Aware of what he did, let alone suffer as a result.

He is my friend and I don't want him to kill himself over this matter. On the scale of things, I don't think what he did was so terrible but he does.

So if you've taken the time to read this and want to reply, please confine your comments to the Issue. I've re-worded it slightly in an effort to clarify it and to keep it simple for the simple members here. I'm going to set it up as a poll to make it simple for them. Any Relevent comments are welcome only please post them in the 'Off Topic Discussion' board under the heading; 'Should he die for this?' not here, thanks.
I'm not passing on any negative comments (he's suffered enough) but if you can find it in your heart to send a word or two of encouragement, I thank you. Lets remember that when you point a finger of accusation at someone, three others are pointing back at You.

Any comments, comliments or complaints you'd like to make for or against Me can be made here (or anywhere you feel like) I could care less!!

Have a Nice day! :o)

I can just imagine some of the replies I'll get to This one!

Hello,

The issue is not what he did, and attempting to paint what he did to be acceptable in the lifestyle misses the point, somewhat, of the lifestyle.

Many here use the terms SAFE, SANE, AND CONSENSUAL to describe what we do.

While what he did was safe, sane is questionable, and it definitely was not consensual.
Did any of those people whose skirts he took pictures up give him specific consent to do so? The answer is no. Additionally, your friend violated the laws of the place he lives in, and as such he should be held accountable.

Is it on the same level of nonconsensual as murder, rape, robbery, or battery? No.

Is it doing things to people without their consent? Yes.

Is it illegal? Yes.

I get a sense that you are not involved in this lifestyle, and you are simply trolling a BDSM web site hoping to find people who support what your friend did. While you may find some, I suspect it wont be many.

I dont think your friend should kill himself, but from my perspective, Im not going to engage in behaviors I dont want other people to know about. Nor am I going to violate any laws.

Wish your friend my best at his arraignment.

Sinergy

Hello,

As an afterthought, if he has a mental illness which causes him to engage in these behaviors, he should be getting help with it before he ends up in jail.

Wait, he already was arrested for it.

Luckily, they have plenty of good outpatient and inpatient programs and treatment options for sex offenders, and if he is unable to get himself in, perhaps a court ordered treatment program will work to help him.
