BlackPhx -> Sexual Predator Fl Reporting (2/19/2008 5:09:33 PM)

As of July 2007 there are changes to the Sexual Predator and Sexual Offender registration laws for the State of Florida. At this time not only are they required to re-register 4 times a year, but :

Within 48 hours after the initial report required, they must report in person to the driver's license office of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) to obtain a valid Florida driver's license or identification card displaying one of the following designations: "775.21, F.S." or " 943.0435, F.S.", unless a driver's license or identification card with such designation was previously secured or updated while under the supervision of DOC, DCFS or DJJ and there have been no changes to their address, name or designation (Florida Statute 322.212).

Full Reporting requirements can be found here http://offender.fdle.state.fl.us/offender/Important.jsp. This does however mean that as long as they are registered in Florida, you will find that status listed on their DL or ID card. Good information to have when setting up to meet someone for the first time. If you require proof of Identification, and see these numbers on a Fl DL or ID, you know you have something to ask about.
