Daddynslave -> brainwashing your slave/sub (9/16/2005 8:31:35 PM)

Daddy mentioned something about someone saying that He "brainwashed me into liking the abuse He gives me" which is not true at all. Yes i LOVE intense/extreme pain but the fact is, i introduce a lot of the ideas without Daddy even saying a word. i think He likes that i express the feelings first (even though He'll do what He wants anyways) He doesn't push me into anything i don't want to do, and W/we always take a VERY long time in collecting information and experience for safety purposes, and He builds me up a little at a time before He'll do anything extreme. So after all that babble here's my questions. Has anyone ever really been brainwashed into doing something (physical wise) that they normally wouldn't do? Is this something that happens a lot? (i've been around for a couple years in this lifestyle, but i've never seen it) For you Dominants out there, would you ever consider doing this? Even as a form of "pre-approved punishment" (aka the slave/sub didn't limit it).. i'm just wondering what ya'lls thoughts and opinions are...

Actual brainwashing is generally too long and difficult and expensive a process to make it practical for anyone looking for a relationship.

But conditioning and manipulation can be quite common.

I tried brainwashing a slave one time. She just ended up with an ear-full of soap. Some things seem like a good idea until you actually try them.

Brainwashing is a long, complex and none-to-reliable process. I don't really think it would fall into the BDSM universe.

I have, however, had one submissive in a consensual noncon scene who later told me she had experienced something like the Stockholm Effect.

I know...totally off topic, and i apologize to the original poster but this comment gave me a little chuckle and i just wanted to say thanks! LOL

Anyway as far as actual brainwashing?? Too long and intense and detailed an endeavor to anticipate it being too widely used in the BDSM realm. However, conditioning is something i've found to be quite common and can be the less "powerful" cousin of "brainwashing".

thetammyjo -> RE: brainwashing your slave/sub (9/17/2005 12:49:52 PM)

I think brainwashing may sound like fun but if the dominant really had to do all of the work required, I think it would wear thin in the fun department not to mention be illegal.

But actually Fox (my only current slave) and I have talked in front of classrooms before and on one occasion someone said he was clearly brainwashed if he thought he liked any of this and was my property.

I didn't even get a word in edgewise cause it pissed him off something fierce. Plus it made the accusation seem a bit off when he was offended so deeply.

Its so sexy when he stands up for his lifestyle and for me.... *fans self*

Brainwashing Your sub 101

Equipment List

Disused rundown building in an isolated area. Cell, treatment room and winding dank smelly winding corridors (all suitably grungy, and without any external light or sounds. Largish tank filled with water, An assortment of bright spotlights and strobe effects, audio equipment suitable for producing both normal sounds as well as subsonic messages, tapes of people screaming in fear and in agony as well as sound effects of some one being beaten and the odd gun shot or three. Miscellaneous muffled conversations between males using their best Slavic accents speaking is a foreign language (try Russian).

Now you blind fold the sub and hand cuff her and toss he into the back of a van after waking her roughly at 2am then drive her about for an hour and go to your “processing plant” and lead her not too gently into the building and then when you in an interrogation room seated on a hard wooden chair. Leave her their for an hour after removing the blindfold. You then roughly grab her, using a knife cut off all her clothes and drag her about the corridors and end up at her cell, remove the cuffs and toss her in with one bright light shining. Have one blanket for her to lay on and close the door. For the next three days you screw here time wise by coming in at odd times with meals, some times with only an hour in between and sometimes with several hours. Each time you tell her its evening meal, breakfast or lunch. Then you can remove her to the treatment room where she is blindfolded and placed in the water bath suspended with only subsonic messages being played as well as “foreign” conversations as from another room or screaming etc etc….

NO WAIT !!!! You wanted her to be able to function after didn’t you???

Ohh welllllll……………..

Brainwashing Your sub 102

You’ll need a bottle of brain washing detergent, one soft bottle brush and a pair of rubber gloves. Take her to the sink and restrain her with one ear up and one down then run an ultra sound to locate the brain cell.. After it is scrubbed, I favour hanging her out to drip dry as I have found that clothes dryers of the spin variety don’t function well after the sub has been in it for a while……

According to the AMA (psychiatric department, that is), a person's psyche can be broken down in as little as 72 hours. But, it requires alot of activity that most people simply aren't willing to endure (Malnutrition, sleep depravation, mixtures of torture and verbal abuse with random acts of kindness).
Associative brainwashing does take a long time, though. Over a period of time, a person can be very gradually introduced into something (a 'cult', for instance), and the negative components can be associated with positive things (for instance, when getting a slave to like torture, starting with playful spankings and combining them with masturbation; then, working into violet wands and hardcore sex).

cmatrix4761 -> RE: brainwashing your slave/sub (9/17/2005 5:23:27 PM)

That's a gr8 example of accidental 'brainwashing'; though, strictly speaking, it's not actually brainwashing but a defense mechanism of the victim.

Ya gotta love Iron Bear's ideas............

In answer to your original question........... I think there are a lot of people (in the Vanilla world) that THINK someone is 'brainwashed' when they become a Sub or a Slave. I can't imagine anyone, especially the Doms I know of, actually wanting to do that. When you brainwash someone you change that person's ability to function in the 'real' world. I, for one, want my Sub to be fully functional and CHOOSE to give me control. But then I believe in positive reinforcement and the Easter Bunny too.

the brain Cell, THE brain CELL...singular???? Yikes! No wonder why all of our Dominants have failed. They forgot about THE OTHER ONE! lol

If you read my Brainwashing 101, and did some real reseach on the matter, you would find that what I was describing was the reasonable brainwashing techniques used during the cold war by the Soviet Block, GB and the USA (Although the US may well deny it at this point due to the current political atmosphere. Any way if you dig hard enough you will find some really informatiove pieces including a number of articles written by me as briefing papers of either a "debugged" people brain washed by the opposition, or about the sucessful brain washing of a suitable target to be converted into a suicide assassin.

Speaking of brainwashing and cults, what ever happened to the Moonies and Krishnas? Not only were they fun to talk to on college campuses and airports, but there were also all kinds of crazy movies about how they took innocent college kids and brainwashed them into joining their cult. I remember one movie that was similar to the exercist with the main character being a deprogramer rather than a priest. The deprogrammer was paid to kidnap and deprogram a cultist.

I used to eat dinner with the krishnas at one of their weekly events on campus when I was in college. The fear of brainwashing was so great at that time that I was actually able to convince several of my friends that they brainwashed me. I had several other friends who so feared being brainwashed that they would never join me for the Krishnas weekly free vegitarian dinner, which was actually a great dinner. They may not have been very good brainwashers, but they sure were very good cooks.

mystictryst -> RE: brainwashing your slave/sub (9/18/2005 7:05:54 AM)

I experienced something similar - one of my close friends from school thought that Master had me (and still does) have me brainwashed into submission by exploiting knowledge of past abuse.

It's a load of hooey, but there is no convincing her that I am here willingly and it in no way has any link to anything in my past.

There is a lot of confusion and misunderstanding about the inner workings of most relationships, add a bit of "kink" and people are absolutely perplexed and I've found (outsiders) will come up with various reasons as to why the people are involved but never really can understand if their minds are set on something else.

Unfortunately, the Moonies are still going strong - and I don't know if you ran in with a "krishna-lite" crowd but many people in cults don't get out.

The Moonies, or the followers of Sun Yung Moon, actually weild an enormous amount of influence, including now ownership of the Washington Times and the UPI news service. They weild considerable influence with the Republican party, and was even able to get a dinner held in the Capitol building to Rev. Moon's honor with notable Republican elected officials (I'm not sure if Senators were there but Congressmen sure were) and their techniques haven't changed.

Unlike brainwashing like you see in the movies, cult brainwashing usually occurs with the partial help of the victim. This is not to say that the victim is any less a victim, or that the victim is somehow willing, because the victims are never explained the consequences of their actions, and cults almost NEVER reveal the beliefs and practices which make them unbelievable or dangerous until a person is firmly committed to the group.

Once committed to the group, it can be very hard to get someone out. Cults generally discourage contact with society outside the group (except for recruiting,) so that their ideas aren't challenged - when those ideas are challenged, almost every group has a "thought-stopping technique" taught early on to prevent people from thinking about the information they've recieved, contradictory to what they have been taught - for some, it can be prayer, meditation, chanting... the Scientologists use something called zeroing - which is the same damn thing. It all stops thought and returns people to a fugue state of repeated behavior.

As for recruitment, some cults have dinners, some groups have fake "business meetings" - any place where entering and leaving can be controlled and there is complete authority, for 48 hours or less... the "business meeting" is a favorite recruitment tool of the Scientologists in particular.

Scarily enough, the people who bear the worst wrath of cults are those who leave the group - especially those who leave and speak out about the group. This is because they don't want members to see that the group isn't "perfect," and they don't want people "who were in a position to know" to speak to potential recruits, shying them away from the group, or especially to the media, where questioning can prompt investigation and parents and other people who care might find out that that "dinner club" Timmy is going to isn't really just a quick get-together.

The main thing to remember is that even though it may seem this way on the outside, people in cults are generally unwilling, tricked victims who would not have signed up for the cult if they had known what it truly entailed.

One last thing: A cult is always an organization, not a religion. Do not be intimidated into not opposing cults by saying that you're "religiously intolerant." For example, there are people who have left the cult of Scientology - an organization - yet still believe the precepts of the belief system that Scientology uses - called Free Zoners. Now, I think they're nuts, but at least, I think, they're nuts of their own free will.

How this relates to BDSM: There is no way in the world that brainwash play is anywhere NEAR safe, sane, and consentual. By definition it is not "sane" and all brainwash eventually becomes non-consentual.

If you're looking for more information on cults and cult practices, I would reccomend one of the books by Stephen Hassan on how cults operate and why they do what they do.

Hope this helps.

the moonies and krishnas have long ago been brainwashed into becoming corp. America....now get with the PROGRAM...understand the PROGRAM....and don't let me see you off PROGRAM again...

Tristan -> RE: brainwashing your slave/sub (9/18/2005 8:57:22 AM)

Thanks for the information, AustinEmigre. Maybe my Krishna friends were Krishna-lites or maybe they just didn't want me as member, but I always had a nice time with them. That was just my experience. You never really know what others experience.
