Anyone have any info on STD via oral consumption of breast milk?

isn't it obvious? it depends what disease you're talking about no doubt, but it's very capable of transmitting.

I'm talking about any diseases. I don't know what can be transmitted through the milk.

try googling it... i did a quick search and found HIV can be transferred through breast milk. There are probably others, but i did not continue looking.

Ask an OB-GYN.. they have to knwo about that stuff. Some women are told NOT to breaks feed. I know that a woman cannot take pills if they have estrogen in them, because of the effects; I'm not sure about some of the others. They prescribe POPS [progesterone only pills] while breast feeding. HIV can be transmitted through breast milk if I remember correctly. Best bet, is to ask an OB-GYN.
