Two weeks ago, after a lengthy bout of testing (EEG, MRI, CAT) and a half-dozen " grand-mal seizures, Yours Truly was diagnosed with epilepsy

Are there any other "movers and shakers" out there in the CollarMe kingdom with decent stories related to their condition?

No stories per se, but I can tell you from previous experience with an epileptic slave that being epileptic in and of itself does not limit your participation in scenes or in the lifestyle more broadly.

Dude, I'm sorry to hear that. I guess it is not that uncommon and I believe that meds are the treatment...Is there any chance that this will pass as you grow older? I would have used the word "matured" but that would be damn near impossible.

The shitty thing is that I have TO KEEP WORKING.  What's the use of having crazy-ass, random electrical bursts in the old brain-pan when you can't even get a  disability check from Uncle Sam.

It's like, "Holy Shit!  I could freak out any second now!", and yet, I still  have to bust my ass for a buffalo-nickel.

Tre, I am thinking that if you get yourself tied up in a karata (so a bitch can grab aholt of you and hang on)  and get it so you a grand mal in the middle of your orgasm, thats gonna be a powerful image for a woman.

Use the force, grasshopper. (truthfully, I doubt you are the only one.........sneaking suspicion here.........)

actually i have a seizure disorder. one thing you need to make sure of is being on the right medication.i was on dilantin and that made them worse, they switched me to depakote and that nearly killed me.i was finallt put on keppra and that did the trick.

as far as having seizure diosrders or epilepsy and being involved with bdsm,be hoenst about it with whom you "play' with. they need to know. find out what the "triggers" are for your seizures. as an sdult it is likely that you can "out grow" them. i didn't start having mine until i was in my 20's. i'm now 35 and have only had one petit mal in 2 years.

make sure those you are with understand what it is and what to do and what not to do. that can mean your ultimate safety. people used to say when someone was having a seizure to put a spoon in their mouth.that's a big no no. it can lead to accidentially swallowing and chocking.

there is also a web site called my epilepsy.com you can look into there are message boards there.also feel free to message me on the other side, i understand fully what you are or may be going through

I had all the same testing at Ft. Belvoir and the results were similar, yet I have my seizures in my sleep so it never effects my life in general.  If I am in LA I tend to sleep alone, nothing like waking someone to become paranoid a quake has begun.

I have been on worker's comp since last July.  I probably will not work in 2008.

I hate it.  I love working.  Im bored senseless.

My WC check is more than my net weekly income.

It just is not fair.

I feel for you about the epilepsy.  I hope it is treatable or you lose the ability to drive, etc.

Keep the faith,

Sinergy

Epilepsy is treatable with or meds or if you are a heavy "seizurer" by surgery. What  sucks with epilepsy , is that with every seizure, you are loosing brain cells.Having epilepsy mean that you must be carefull when: Driving (cars or other machines) play with videogames, alcohol and stroboscope in party and dancings.

I imagine that the seizures are going to have a Hell of a battle with alcohol over what's left of Tre's grey matter.

Good luck my brothah....I dedicate the next ten loads that I drop to you.
