My first question is always the same: If you were an item in an antique shop, what would you be and what would your price tag say? A useful, service oriented item appeals to me. (Roll top desks are among my favorite!) Fine jewelry tells me they're probably just for show and not my cup of tea. A rusty, leaky, dirty toilet? I would have absolutely no use for someone who views themselves in such a way. An old monopoly set, okay, cool and playing with you would probably be fun but I'd not likely to get into a long term situation with someone who's just around for entertainment. I always ask if someone is married or in a relationship and if their partner is aware of their activities or desires. I have no desire to help someone cheat. Knowing the last thing that made someone laugh really hard or sob uncontrollably helps me to gauge whether or not they are willing to express their emotional selves. More important in a long term relationship than a one night play thing, but something I would ask to see which way the ball might bounce. I have had people tell me they neither laugh hysterically nor cry uncontrollable and that amount of control isn't going to work for me, personally. Eh, good enough for a start. Good luck with your book. Celeste
