Groups of people make me uneasy since I'm unable to read social cues, so it's like being dropped in the middle of a foreign country without any briefing on the culture, language, or anything. This means that not only will I likely pipe up and say something unintentionally offensive, but nine times out of ten I can't tell if someone is making fun of me to be mean or just friendly poking.
I suppose at a munch or lifestyle meeting I'd have my sub with me, who's kind of my liaison with the world of the living, but it'd still be terribly nerve-wracking for me. When I bought his collar from a fetish shop/dungeon my hands were shaking so badly because there was a congregation of people discussing floggers in the store... I couldn't imagine voluntarily going through that. I'd probably faint out of fright. [:D]
