Good question! There's also this: China is bombing our national parks with mercury and other pollutants and toxins. Well now, since 'we' (corporate and governmental 'interests', representing 'we' the people) have out-sourced so much that merely required local destruction of environment combined with vicious exploitation of locals ... Now Honestly, how could China [correction, 'Red' China] have been expected to resist? Besides... seeing as 'pollution' is the token issue, clearly it is all Al Gore's fault. [tongue firmly in cheek] Poor Al sheesh
