well growing up around the pacific northwest yes there are some things that" eco terrorists" have done to gain publicity. do i support what they do and how they do it? no. and here's my reason for that. not all evnironmentalists out there are like that. it's like any other "group" each one has its' share of crazies. it may have been the "eco terrorists" or it could have been the builders as another post stated. here's an interesting thought though, back in the 90's a town i lived in did not have any public input on 30 ancient oak trees being torn down so the employees at a certain company could have a sidewalk bridge and parking garage.(god forbid they should have to walk on a public sidewalk) when the mayor gave the go ahead on this naturally the public found out.so yes there was a protest and it got out of hand on both sides, public and law enforcement. i know i was there. i saw many friends who just had protest signs and doing nothing to agitate law officials get pepper sprayed and even tear gassed.(yes this still happens). did the city officials face ramifications,of course not,but the others got up to a week in jail. yes there are thing "eco terrorists" do that piss me off, like going in to logging comapanies land and spiking the trees, how that does good for anyone i do not know. food not bombs getting arrested for openly feeding the homeless, how are they eco terror i don't know that either. uglieness can come from any source. but what i feel is this.it could have been anyone. i have yet to meet and evironmentalist that burns houses down to prove a point, the majority if there is a problem go to their city council. i could blame horses in kentucky and tennessee being killed by their owners for glue and such after the horse looses one race too many, but not all race horse owners are like that, just as i said with the eco terroritst, it could be anyone but not all of them anyway that's my 2 cents and maybe a few more.
