Probably the most sadistic in the classical definition of that was a series of play I did a few years ago. I wanted to explore what I ended up terming "non-eroticizable pain", and how people who identified as masochists would process it. So bottoms/subs/slaves who advertised themselves as into pain, I would not do the standard stuff that people tended to eroticize, such as flogging, spanking, even caning. I wanted to find where the connection really was for people that thought pain, in and of itself, was satisfying. Primarily worked on things I learned while a cop and in aikijutsu - joint locks and pressure points, ranging from basic arm bars, up to and including repeated dislocation and resetting of joints like shoulders. I also worked on some very intense whip sessions. Interestingly, there was only one woman who really and truly grooved on it, and literally would orgasm, multiple times, ejaculating, all over the place, while I was doing stuff to her that I knew was horrifically painful. The other was a pig boy bottom who would come back to me and ask for more, even after I literally flayed a significant portion of his back into shreds with a pair of singletails. Was a series of experiences that I found profoundly interesting, and helped shape my mind about physical pain and erotic transformation. It also taught me that I was not a sadist per se (shocking as that may seem after reading the above) as pain infliction in and of itself did not bring me pleasure, but only in the context of power exchange and D/s.
