She knew this but at the end of our talk she said, Oh, and I expect my boys to be completely naked when they greet me, not a stitch.

So do I have a right to say Well, this actually turns me on, wearing the briefs, or is it my own fetishes I have "train" myself to give up in order to focus more on Her? Why do I have to give up my unique turn-ons just when I'm coming out with them?Or do I?

i havent read a lick of anyone else's reply....but if you were to ask me personally?

It all about HIM and His desires become mine. Do i give up anything? Nope! ... just get better and love what He loves. [;)]

Am I not a sub if I am more turned-on being spanked with a riding crop than with an old plastic spatula and I voice that preference or "kink"?

Everybody has their likes and dislikes. Some Doms are very responsive to this while others are not. Most probably fall somewhere in between. I personally think that compatibility is the key. I don't want a service top, but I don't want someone who is on a completely different wave length either. Everyone is different however. Some people like to be forced to do things they dislike more than others. Ophelia

I am not wont to read thru this......

KatyLied -> RE: It's All About...Who? (9/25/2005 10:32:42 AM)

me me me

It's all about me me me

(there, I feel much better now)

Exactly Katie,

You want what is best for you and I want what is best for me, and when the plan comes together so that your me and my me are the same..............Well, isn't that special?

Genuine question from an eager novice: Isn't it, in the end, a 50/50 deal? Meaning, in a scene, it's 50% each person's "kinks" aka turn-ons? I'm not sure how to separate my "kinks" from my desire to make Her happy. My "kinks" are the stepping stones towards the vast reserves of trust I have and long to give. Without bringing my "kinks" into play, there's nothing there for me.

This question illustrates why I divide the world into service subs and sensation subs. My sub's 50% is making sure I'm 100% happy. Which, of course, is why I spoil him rotten. [;)]

mnottertail -> RE: It's All About...Who? (9/25/2005 6:00:32 PM)

I say it differently than you do but I think it is the same in the end, I will take out 100% of the garbage, you will be 100% naked (I live in minnesota which is why I will take it out) I will do 10% of the cooking (I think I am a barbeque guy) and you will do 90% and as for remote controls -- what is 1 divided by zero?

fastlane -> RE: It's All About...Who? (9/25/2005 6:19:01 PM)

It's not all about me, it's all about us, that's why it works.

Although, when it comes to the remote...I pick the games!

petwolf22 -> RE: It's All About...Who? (9/25/2005 6:26:11 PM)

i don't really understand how everything is so easily divided into these textbook definitions of "sub", "slave", "bottom" (or any other the dominant terms, for that matter)- people may fall into one category or another, but i don't think there is one simple definition to define any of them.

why question as to whether or not he is defining himself properly?

petwolf,

I was talking about my personal definitions, not how the OP defined himself. When I look for a submissive, I want service oriented submissives, interested in pleasing me, not men who are primarily focused on sensation play. Just my personal preference.
