I don't find that silly because i do the same thing. When my husband goes away not only do i wear one of his shirts to bed i also sleep on his pillow. it comforts me.
When our kids were younger, if Master had to go away for a week or so because of work, all of the kids would claim his teechirts as pillowcases. He was careful to lay in a supply of Worn-An-Hour tee shirts before he left, and it comforted them. There is nothing silly about comfort.
I love a memento - my husband sleeps in my bed at work so I can smell him, and my Master leaves bruises to remind me of our connection - it's all in what you prefer
When I have to leave Master for any amount of time, or he has to leave, I ask him to wear something all day then give it to me. I then sleep with it, and have his smell close to me. Its very comforting. Another thing that comforts me is reaching up and touching my collar.
No not silly at all. Women are supposedly more scent sensitive as well. I wake up every morning with my face buried in his pillow, mine tossed aside. When I'm feeling blue nothing comforts me more than his leather jacket, over 10 years old & smelling of leather and his cologne & his special smell.
Warm fuzzy recently worn sweaters are my favorite when he's out of town on business. Yum :)
