Its probably more practical than personal. With todays inflation and cost of living expenses everyone of age in the household is working and contributing financially.
Someone who cannot/does not choose to educate themselves or further their income potential even after being 'free' for 4 years may be seen as a red flag. Again, not about money, but about personal motivation and or lack there of.  The drive to succeed.
Best of luck in your search, just my thoughts...

Of course no human can heal another. Only Spirit can do this and only if ones ready. But we CAN and DO offer an arena or ceremonies that inspire and facilitate ones healing. Many times its simply a gesture, or love. I KNOW that some here are into this or that so-called spiritual lifestyles with a flare for expression through the medium/lifestyle of bdsm. THESE know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. COMMITTMENT....to serving others in either D or s. The committment is no different. The committment to Creator being most important.
Another point for consideration for those who wish to see it, is that one look at what I've told you about my story could get one to take a closer look at how our so-called government is becoming more invasive everyday. If they can demand a person to give them blood(something that belongs to me,a gift from God-nobody just takes it), and refusal means they lose everything they have worked so hard to get, how long before they start doing this to other aspects of our lifestyle? Do we really believe that were not losing our freedom in all avenues of life? THIS is whats really burning me, and has for some time. I'm aware that its hard when someone has an accident and hurts another, possibly much worse if alcohol is involved. But life here on earth, is not meant to be safe! Just starting a car and driving to the supermarket could kill you or a loved one. Do we hang everyone everytime they make a mistake? Everytime someone thoughtlessly runs a red light, sober or not? Points to ponder for those in such a lifestyle as this/

Freedom is never free, you obviously had the freedom to keep your blood, the price was your license.  What you don't like is the consequenses of your own actions.

Personally if I was pulled over and asked for a sample, I'd give it freely, but then I don't drink and drive.

colouredin -> RE: About Polyamorous- 24/7 relartionships (3/5/2008 8:45:57 AM)

I really dont think that the government has anything to do with your problem I think that you are just transfering blame, anyones fault except your own. Time to take some responsibility for yourself I say.

Life isnt meant to be anything lol life is life, and personally i dont care what people do as long as it doesnt affect me or people i care about which drink driving could very easily and I have no time for excuses in that regard. That is why freedom doesnt work, sure you can be free but what if your freedom invades mine? thats why it doesnt work.

I had this long thought out response.. but I'm going to let this go.  Take responsibility for you and your actions...

My comment was not meant to be judgmental, it was simply sharing an alternate thinking, belief system and honor code.

nineofone -> RE: About Polyamorous- 24/7 relartionships (3/5/2008 9:04:34 AM)

FREEDOM ISNT FREE!!! OMG!! Surely you jest!  Freedom IS!!!No man can grant or take away certain inalienable rights.(anybody remember the Constitution?) I'm also a 4th generation vet. Neither I, or my fathers before me fought for whats now taking place. No freedom = slavery. THIS is illegal. Sleep on if you must..
I'd really appreciate hearing YOUR personal thoughts, not regurgitations of crap someone else with an agenda has thought up to justify there abhorrations..I have many faults, but being able to think for myself isnt one of them. I see there are some who feel strongly about these things. Thats good. I believe it points right to a sore spot, and the arrogance of some. You can make this thread out to be about me and my imperfections if you choose, but thats simply not the case. This whole lifestyle is all about risk to some extent, and I'm amazed how insecure and afraid many truly are. Actually, I'm shocked.....

Let me put it this way. The sad thing is that what I'm gonna say will probably happen on day;
Lets say that aids is spreading like wildfire(it already is) So the Gov passes new laws they say are to protect us. It is now illegal to engage in anal sex. It is also illegal to have sex with someone who has previously engaged in anal sex with another.Homosexual sex is DEFINITELY against the law.  So one morning you just stepped outside and begin your walk to the store for a coffee, paper etc. And befor you even get off your own driveway a cop tells you to take your pants down and give him a sample from your anus that he's gonna take right there to determine if you've been having anal sex. Too hypothetical? I seriously doubt it. If you walking out of your front door wasnt causing injury to another, the cop has no right to demand invading your privacy. As far as drinking goes, you cannot walk out your front door smelling like a few drinks, mow your on, give you 20 yr old kid a drink, and etc. THIS is what some of you call freedom? Believe me, it iS coming to a courtroom near you...very soon.

Just to inject a bit of humor here....  Sounds like someone has a problem with authority.  Does this strike anyone else ironic, coming as it does from a submissive?  *WEG*

It might sound ironic, but it makes sense to me.  I used to be terrified of authority figures, and that terror sometimes would come out as anger.  A lot of power play and authority transfer came from that fear being eroticized.

But the post to which you referred sounds plain ol' paranoid to me.

My personal thoughts-- freedom isn't free, nor do we have an anarchist society where one can act freely without consequense.  Freedom comes with a price and that price is responsibility to not engage in dangerous behaviour when you can jepordize others.  You still have the right to make stupid decisions, but you will suffer the consequeces for your stupidity.

Many people lost alot to obtain that constitution that you think entitles you to do as you please, many people still sacrifice to maintain this country and it's ideals.

Right now you are an emotionally raw person who may or may not be able to take care of himself.  Others certianly do have the freedom to want to associate with you or decide that you are more trouble then you are worth.

AS11 -> RE: About Polyamorous- 24/7 relartionships (3/5/2008 11:12:59 AM)

Refusing a breathalyzer or blood test is one of your options; not driving while impaired is another. Remember, driving a motor vehicle is not a right…it’s a privilege granted by the State...granted conditionally.

LadyHathor -> RE: About Polyamorous- 24/7 relartionships (3/5/2008 11:42:25 AM)

Wow, how did we get from being thrown to the curb by Dominants to freedoms and a rant about the government??

I read these responses, all constructive thoughts about where a submssive needs to be in his own life, his need to care for himself, and facing responsibility for his actions to???  Were you looking for sympathies? Support for your issues? Pointing fingers??

I need a martini--and no I don't drink and drive any longer and never will.

AS11 -> RE: About Polyamorous- 24/7 relartionships (3/5/2008 12:32:39 PM)

The tranquil soothing sound of an evening tide gently rolling in .A Martini, stirred not shaken, a ruggedly handsome masculine muscular man steps from the shadows. Oh wait, this is about martinis.

SweetDommes -> RE: About Polyamorous- 24/7 relartionships (3/5/2008 5:00:11 PM)

I'm going to bypass most of the previous posts, and just say my impressions based on skimming through the OPs posts.

If you messaged us, I'd run from you as fast as my chubby butt could move.  You are angry, you have no way to bring any income into the house at all (for the record, we only require our boys to work part time to pay their share of the bills that they run up), you get almost violent in your responses to people who have given you suggestions, and not only did you blame someone else for your DUI (and, like others, I won't even go into that) but you seem to expect someone to be THRILLED at the idea of having you - angry, with no income, and a ton of baggage - move into their home.  Sorry, not happening.

nineofone -> RE: About Polyamorous- 24/7 relartionships (3/5/2008 7:38:57 PM)

Where do such staements such as "you have no way to bring any income into the house at all come from"????? After reading some of the posts here IM GONNA RUN far away from some of you people! Some are obviously posting things that show they have NOT read all the posts! If we do this to a D, they will block us.. You people are making my case without any effort from me.

nineofone -> RE: About Polyamorous- 24/7 relartionships (3/5/2008 8:08:09 PM)

Thanks everyone. You've helped me immensly.. I'm out........

ShiftedJewel -> RE: About Polyamorous- 24/7 relartionships (3/6/2008 3:35:43 AM)

As usual I'm a day late and a dollar short... but I'm gonna post anyway... I'm bull headed like that.

This is so absolutely ironic. I've been looking for way too long for a male sub/slave that would be totally comfortable staying at home and contributing to the household simply by working around the house only to find that the largest part of them feel that they HAVE to work outside the home only to walk into a thread started by one that would love that kind of environment just after he abandons the thread... honestly... is there anyone out there with my kind of luck?

lmao

Jewel
