Status: offline 		I currently have a crappy head cold, nothing bad mind you. Just an annoying cough, a runny nose, sneezeing and itchy watery eyes. Something I go through about twice a year. And usually it takes me about 2 weeks to get all the icky out of my chest. By then the next show will be around, no i went to the doc what i have is NOT catching. Its just a me thing. more like allergies then a virus you get my drift? I was wondering since I"ll most likely be still SLIGHTLY getting over the head cold by the next party (the 28th) Would playing (aka flogging and knife play scene) be ill adsvised?

Status: offline 		I would say it totally depends how you feel, I had tonsilitus last time i was with Sir and we both decided it wouldnt be a good idea, mostly becuse often when you are ill you body becomes a lot more sensitive to pain, and aches are everywhere anyways. if your Dom is used to you being able to tolerate a certain amount, that may go down while you are ill, also the white blood cells will be busy fighting off the cold so you do have a slightly greater risk of infection with knife play (very very slight, and if he is safe and sterile anyways its hardly worth mentioning). I think it totally depends how much better you are feeling. And being aware of the sensitivity. Couldnt you have a few practice flogs prior to the party? to see how your body reacts to it?

Status: offline 		I suppose so, that seems like a better idea then a full blowen scene. I was also thinking...Wouldent the flogging knock all that crap out of my lungs? (thats seriously a joke...and stuck me as pretty damned funny just now)

Im putting a new thred in th casual banter/polls board  "health benefits of a flogging scene"

1. clears the shit out of your lungs
2. never have to worry about exfoliateing the skin of your back

Seriously, Hacking on the back in the lung area, which in massage is called tapotement is very good for loosening up congestion. You do it in a loose wristed karate chop fashion. Also vibrational compressions on the sternum,since the bronchaii are in that region is helpful too.

Status: offline 		if you could get your dom to suspend you up-side-down while flogging - that would be truely great for congestion.  Of course, the hacking and coughing and expectorating might make on-lookers sick.   But , then again , if they don't like it, then they can leave the room!

but seriously folks - if you aren't 100% - don't play. Some of what we tolerate, we can tolerate because of being completely healthy, and able to concentrate on what is going on.
