10,000 BC and College Road Trip

the horrible pitfalls of having a job like mine - sometimes you have to sit through crappy movies and be tortured to death for free

Vince Vaughn is *brilliant* in Clay Pigeons!  It was an award-winning performance and he'll never be recognized for it, because it was the funky little indy cult movie.
Also features Joaquin Phoenix, Janeane Garofalo, and playing the best movie *slattern*, ever! - Georgina Cates.

Oh!  Good call, MM :)  I had totally forgotten about this movie until now.  Thanks for the reminder! [;)]

Movies that are deeply cynical depress me.

I'm sorry I watched Brazil and O, Lucky Man!, for example.  I felt like hell, after watching them.

I hate movies that go for the cheap tears, too.  I was sorry I watched Terms of Endearment.  I cried uncontrollably after that stupid movie.  I hate it.  After that, I accidentally saw two more movies written by that same author, Damn it!  I hate all that guy's movies.

Sometimes, it's just the boredom.  I went to see The Draftman's Contract and Barry Lyndon, with someone, once.  uuhhhh (flat line on monitor), I think I'm still watching it...it lasted forever.  Only afterwards did he tell me that it was sometimes called "Boring Lyndon."

I also bemoan the fact that *so* many of my adult friends, when they are not playing with instruments of torture, love to watch cute animated movies -  please don't make me watch rapping penguins or a Shrek sequel again, when we get together for videos!

Anything with Jim Carrey!  [:'(]

You can add Oceans 12 to the list, too.  It's a shame since Oceans 11 was so good.

Forest Gump (I never finished it.  Tried twice to get through it, and...no thanks)
The Piano
Pretty much any Quentin Tarrantino flick (yeah yeah, I know but I've hated them all)
Evil Dead
The Bad Lieutenant
The Trial of Billy Jack
Menace II Society
Crash - the 1996 version with David Spade, Rosanna Arquette and Holly Hunter

Oh no, ownedgirlie!  Finally an area where I just can't see eye-to-eye with you[&o].  You don't like "The Bad Lieutenant," the 1996 "Crash," or Tarrantino????  Oh, the horror!  And I thought you were my idol[8D]..............luci

LOL Yep, same James Spader.  You loved it?  You thought Rosanna Arquette was sexy all pieced together like that in crutches with her limbs practically falling off, huh?  Ooookkkaaaayyyy.....[8D]

And a follow-up post.....There is NOTHING....repeat NOTHING....Rosanna Arquette can do to NOT look sexy, you hear me, ownedgirlie?[8D]  NOTHING!  I have been in lust with her since I first saw her in the TV mini-series "The Executioner's Song" back in the early 80's.  I was but a young girl but I knew hot when I saw it[;)]...............luci

house of 1,0000 corpses by rob zombie.....i only got about half way through it, then did a little satan worshipping to bring my mind up out of the gutter and get some goodness and light back into my head heh.

~FR~

I HATED I Am Legend, and that was the first Will Smith movie that I didn't like.

I also didn't like The Break-Up with Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn. It made me grouchy and I despised men for a while. :)

Thank you thank you thank you.  I rented Lord of the Rings and kicked myself for sitting through the entire thing.

Oh yeah, I hated The Matrix, too.

Mystic River depressed me.  It was wonderfully acted and directed, but just so...awful.  I literally felt depressed when I left the theater.

Wow.  That's one of my very favorite movies as well as the follow-up, "Devil's Rejects."  It's wild how some people can love something and so many others just not connect.  I guess that's the case for me and most popular movies.  I've seen many movies that I love but they usually are not the big blockbuster ones.  I can't really think of specific titles now but any major action movies just bore me and most comedies are not my kind of humor.

There have been a couple movies years back that I got talked into going out to see when they premiered and I just wanted to walk out.  I know "Predator" was one as well as "Bird on a Wire."  Horrible - how did I ever get convinced to go see them?[&o].........luci

And here I thought I felt a small earthquake this morning.  It was just my pedastol dropping down a notch. [8D]

Yes and Rosanna Arquette is hot....but not in Crash.

Now the OTHER Crash I loved.  Does that help??

I have a really pent up friend that is like 19 1/2 years older than me, I thought he would laugh till he pee'd... boy howdy was I wrong.....he threw up in the theater and I had to drive him home with the windows open... he couldn't even see that Cohen guy in the news without feeling ill after that! Seriously though it was a REALLY bad movie

faerytattoodgirl -> RE: How about movies that you wish you had never seen?? (3/8/2008 2:25:58 PM)

almost every sequel.  i'd say a good 90% of them.
