I hate those moments, too.  Be strong and just do it.  I have learned, even recently, that avoiding stressful situations doesn't make them easier to deal with... just prolongs the stress.

I hope that the reaction is much less than what you are thinking.

Status: offline 		Thanks, girly and GT.  He sounded so pitiful.  I asked what was wrong and He said He just didn't feel that great, which is code-speak for "I'm going to try driving half an hour to you, so we can drive an hour to get to the party, where I hope I can mange to stay upright because I promised we could go."  I put the kabosh on that and asked Him to just stay home and get better.

So... tomorrow, we might just hang out if He feels like milling about, and maybe make it a sort of "family day" since a couple of people will be back home by then.

Status: offline 		i hate it that despite spending hours online i have not been successful in my attempts to locate a water fitness course locally other than at the YMCA. bah...bastards.

i hate that i've been sick...i hate that the doctor's continue to make me have these 'womanly parts' despite the fact that i'm never going to be able to have a baby...i mean come on.....Seriously, for what my body puts me through when it's that time of the month i should at least get some kind of reward for it....

i hate that last night i made the decision to tell Him that i think He should find someone else cause i'm always going to be too sick to meet His needs...but i LOVES that he just sat next to me while i cried and informed me that i would not be sick forever.

Status: offline 		I hate it when, earlier this afternoon, I was parked near the mailbox area in my subdivision, not in front of or blocking them, and the "loaner-mailman" pulls up and blasts his horn at me.  I looked in the rearview mirror and glared at him, and just barely pulled up - less than a foot, and turned off my car.

I was rifling through the mail and noticed that I had a bunch of crap for a different address mixed in with my mail.  I got outta the car, walked back to him (dumbass was sporting a goofy smile, I'm sure he thought I was going to apologize for being parked there when he pulled up - boy was he wrong), and handed him the wrong mail.  He thanked me and I said, "So, did that 6 inches do anything for you there?  I mean, what's the deal with you laying on your horn like that?  What was your point really?"  He looked stunned and said, "Well I needed to get close."  I pointed all around our cars and said, "Your mail truck is half the size of my van.  You can't manuever that thing into a parking area that's 50-60 feet long by 40 feet wide?  What the hell is wrong with you?"  He kinda of stammered, and I cut him off and said, "Dayum, I could understand if you were a girl - then 6 inches might mean something to you if you really needed it."  He looked like I had just kicked him in his non-existent balls and asked if the people on the mail no longer lived there.  I said, "Well, that's not my address, which means you put it in the wrong mailbox.  You figure it out, skippy."  He just looked at the letters and said, "Yes, Ma'am."  

Dumbass

Status: offline 		giggles at angel...  it was just so unbelievable to me, that he would lay on the horn when I wasn't even in his way...  I was beyond the mailboxes, looking at what was in my stack that I just pulled out before he got there...

the fact that he thought I was going to be some demure lil thing who says, "Oh, Mr. Mailman, I'm so sorry you can't get your Matchbox size truck in this big space, I was more than happy to move, even though it was barely a foot" and then got verbally smashed was just the icing on the cake...

kind of like a riding crop on a fully erect willy...

(um, yes, I'm feeling a little bit premenstrual and edgy, but I'm off to fix brownies to have with my movie, so it should offset the need for an attitude adjustment)  LOL
