ORIGINAL: LinnaeaBorealis One time I was on my way home so that I could catch a plane for Washington, DC to spend Christmas with my family. There was a strap in the middle of my lane & a truck in the next lane so I straddled it. Bad idea. It wrapped itself around the trailer axles & ripped out the airlines. I was doing about 60, but there was enough time to get off the road before everything locked up on me. I made the plane, but just barely!! This time, I'm not sure what it is. It builds air while the engine's on, so it's drivable. They just took it into the shop to look at it, so I should know something soon. That reminds me a lot on the days when I had a car (though that dates back 6 years ago ). Somehow I was always the one using the car (mine or one of other family members) when it was breaking down, and my brother always had the talent to be stopped by the police...whist I am not into mechanical stuff at all, I got to know my car I have to say...I know many reasons since then WHY it can break down...the worst one was when I had exam stress, ended up every night in ear pain due to my stress level and after my project task was finished which was a theater presentation with the kids I worked with I drove home to my parents...only to have the pleasure that my car decided to stop at the motorway...after about an hour someone came from our motorclub, took away the filter and then I could drive home without the filter at least it drove then....very slowly and very embarrassing, but at least by then it was 2am and the motorway was not too busy and people couldn't see me personally in that darkness...oh did I hate my countless moments of breaking down Once I broke down as my garage didnt pull the screws on tight enough and somehow because of that the battery got empty...following which a friend from our family working in this garage told his colleague he owns him a dinner as he did mess it up ... a while later I realised that often when I used the break a light went on which is not meant to go on...so I thought to call that friend before it might be too late again and yes, he told me that I would have soon been broken down again...I guess I did break down 2-3 times a year during my 7 years where I had a car...as nice as it would be to have a car again... I so don't miss such moments
