Does anyone know what Texan fire ant bites look like? I know Myron didn't do it because he is too mannerly (and I think he moved out).

When a fire ant is biting you, you KNOW it when it is happening. You wouldn't find out later. I was mowing my grass and stood in a fire ant hill and the next thing I knew I was being eaten alive by them. I was running for the shower and clawing my clothes off at the same time. They are hot and their bites are amazingly painful. I am not a doctor or a fire ant specialist, but I would suggest you look into another reason, other than fire ants as the cause.

Status: offline 		Oh I had them on my feet. My sister dearest didn't tell me I was standing on a fire ant hill. Bitch. Seriously, she thought it was funny when I started jumping around cursing. I just have never met them before and the results were not immediate. I'm (was) a fire ant virgin! Michigan ants are friendly dang it.
I was attacked Saturday and just today saw dozens of really gross.. bites I guess they are? They look like blisters, red with a white pus filled center. I itchhhhhhhhhhh.

Phoenix.. I can only hope that sweet Myron finds a Myra to be happy with!

Far away from me. Far. Really far.

The reason I'm asking is because this morning I squished several teensy fast spiders in my bedroom, I didn't connect the fire ants of Saturday to todays bites or whatever they are.

Damn Texas is one tough state.

thats exactly my view...whilst I do know that things like heart attacks are no fun at all...on some days it just feels as if they could be a relief, with having no worries anymore *sigh*

Camille, I used to get the same reaction to FL fire ant bites.  The ONLY way I could get the blisters to stop itching was to drain them.  I'd dip a sharp pin an rubbing alcohol, and open as many of the blisters as I could, then IMMEDIATELY wash the whole area with soap and water as hot as I could handle.  Then, being the maso that I am, doused the area with unused rubbing alcohol.  Yes, it stung like crazy, but the itching went away.

He has an ego the size of the world and a temper like a madman and a childish mentality that everyone is jealous of his supreme brilliance to top it off. ARGH. Valium and bed. Asshole.

Your life is yours alone to live, but if you can get "unstuck" from where you are now, and move forward to your future and the rest of your life... wow, I seriously would say "GO FOR IT!!!"  I've been having this same conversation with a friend of mine and can't tell you how being afraid to decide to move just turns into a horrible decision to stay.  Control your destiny, strong lady... you are much stronger than you think.

I lived in fear of the unknown and what will they all say, until one day I realized that this is not a dress rehearsal and I could live my life in misery or possible happiness.  After a while, the pain of staying outweighed the fear of leaving, and I just did it.  Haven't looked back.  No one else lives your life but you... make it count.
