I went on a job interview today for a job in a similiar industry that I have worked for the last six years. 

I have four letters of recommendation from my last job, one from a supervisor. 

The manager doing the interviews stated that out of 38 candidates they had narrowed it down to five.  From the five candidates, they will narrow it down to two.  Then the manager told me, to my face, out of the five, the only thing that seperates me from everyone else is that I have six years under my belt.  And that my letters of recommendation don't matter because, who checks references anymore, they just mostly look at the background check.

I type 75+wpm, I answer phones, I take dictation, I am quite capable of following instructions and really put my heart and soul into what I do.  And look at this freakin rack I've got, lol......

I hate it when, I'm just one of the crowd.  DAMN IT.
