Funny you should say this. When I first lost my sight, my nephew and I were trying to come up with some good to go with the bad..so we came up with these gems-


  • I don't have to see roadkill anymore
  • I don't have to see the homeless holding signs "Will drink.." I mean.." Will WORK for food"
  • I no longer have to view someone picking their nose, thinking that no one is watching
  • I no longer have to see some idiot driver trying to apply make up while driving 70mph
  • In traffic jams, I can just sit back and relax :)
  • I don't have to wince when we hit a pothole, because I didn't see it coming


There were more, but we were laughing to hard to remember them all.

There ARE advantages to being blind.................just sayin......

It is scary to think that one may die while waiting for the proper channels to get their asses together to figure out if they should invest in you or not. I have been waiting for 3 years for back pay. I am still waiting on a court date of all things. People ask me why I don't file a lawsuit against the surgeons that did my brain surgery, which caused me to lose my sight? Because, really, I don't believe in tying up the courts over something that couldn't be helped. There are people who have true legitmate claims that never get to see the inside of a courtroom before they die. To many frivilous lawsuits tying up the court system. My brother died while waiting for SSI. He had no medical insurance and didn't get the proper care that he should have and could have had, if he had any or better insurance.

I have just now got approved for state insurance (AHCESS) and emotionally, mentally, I feel better already. I don't feel so hopeless now.

I wish you the same outcome and the same peace.

Status: offline 		I hate it when after only 13 days of being together, Christine's moon decided to Dom mine.  I figured a month or so, but shit!! Less than two weeks???  And what's really great is that it's two weeks early.

I also hate that with the whole moon thing going on, it makes it seem like my recent mood upheaval was nothing more than hormones, when it was actually much more than that.  I hope He doesn't dismiss this as some wretched case of PMS.
