I hate that I got curious and wondered how my ex husband was doing in life and how things turned out or if he was even alive! Now after over 26 years he called last night and he wants to come see his baby doll next month! Okay, I was curious and distance makes one wonder and time has healed, but I don't want to have to say... thanks, but no thanks and I know I am going to have to! That baby doll came out far too quickly and it was clear he was sorry he lost the best he'd ever had. Damn, damn, damn!

I also hate that my second oldest step son is brain damaged too! He's in a facility and I wish he wasn't and my mother's heart knows what he dealt with in life and I want to care for him too! Hell, I stayed married longer because of the um's and they weren't even mine!

Hugs sugargirl... but even he said I wasn't sweet! hehe He said I was mean and hit him with a two by four! It was a friggin long, bending and thin board that went along the wall, but I was frustrated because it bent and had no power! Hey... he stole my keys to my first car... that is a bad thing to do! lol He wasn't surprised at all that I am now called dominant! lol But I grew up and he didn't... I will try to head him off at the pass!

Awww, Donna! At least he IS alive, right? You know you would have felt sad if he was dead or a hobo. (I'm pretty sure that Hugh is dead or in jail... and that makes me sad, at least for the sake of his daughters and grandkids!)

Yes, I found him through myspace which he hadn't been on for years and I contacted a friend of his and it took so long to find out anything, I thought he was dead. That made me feel sad of course. So surprise, surprise when I saw his name on my caller ID! For the rest of the night I was practicing that line... you can't go back, it never works!

I mean, I am thankful... he was the one that taught me about so many good things I now use on others! So I will be nice, but that is all I am being! lol

My old friend has a child that is brain damaged. At this time he was 14. she has to keep an eye on him every single second. The doctor told her to put him in a facility but she feels too guilty. Many times she looked away for a few second and
1. kitchen went up in flames... too many times.
2. younger son had his head bashed in by him or
got kicked and punched too many times.
3. living room went up in flames or totally trashed
4. car window busted while driving him to doctor. (many times)
5. exposes himself to everybody. (many times)
6. holes in the walls all over the living room and bedrooms and garage.
7. Out in public or at home he screams (POOP) and poops in his pants. He knows he shouldn't and he smiles.
And that was the beginning.

You would think that she would put him in a facility every time the little one gets abused by this boy.

I had to leave my friend because I couldn't take it anymore and her one elder daughter left when she turned 16. Too much for her to handle. when mom was at work... she had to take care of her brother. Before she was 16, she freely turned herself into a mental facility and told the doctor she couldn't handle it anymore. The doctor let her rest for a couple weeks there.

The daughter is a good person and refuses to have children. She still helps her mom from what i heard. She is now 33 years old.

Damn, the guys I meet were ALL assholes. lol
I haven't learned a damn thing from men not even one.
Now the girls I have dated... i have.

Oh sugargirl... that is so sad! My son was a real mess and I mean hallucinating all the time, wild and I thought I would die trying to take care of him without help. All my neighbors were terrified for me. At first it was hell! I had to wear a key around my neck at all times as we had to be locked in so he couldn't take off. I had to um proof for an adult and man... was that a challenge.

But... getting on my bandwagon here... before he was released to me, I did my research. I read that most with the type of injury my son had which was anoxic, became violent in time. I wondered what caused this and learned all I could. I believed that the medications and protocol for brain injuries was at fault. I knew I had to save my son from this and being strapped to a bed in a facility as they said he most likely would be. Within a month I had him off all medications. He hasn't had a hallucination since. I know to control his sleep hours in a facility they would give them to him again and that is why I must make it as long as I can.

I was able to turn it all around. There wasn't much info out there and I had to create my own protocol, but my son is now doing so much better! He used to poop too... he did all sorts of things! He would rip the bed apart and dig out all his clothes three times a day. It was awful and then he started to hit. But it took a year to teach him to make toast. Now he is making frozen pizza and heating things in a microwave... he is happy and not violent and I cannot see him ever being violent. But had he stayed on their protocol, he would have been.

I would so love to talk to your friend!

You must protect the brain injured but if they are hurting or are dangerous to others, they must be confined so that the non injured are not harmed, even if it is only emotionally. Harm is harm. If you think it would help, I would be more than willing to talk to her and see if there was anything that might help that I know.

Can I just say that no one deserves to be hit out of anger or frustration. Male or female, for ANY reason. If this had been a man posting this and he had said that he hit his wife with a 2x4 (No matter how flimsy it was), we would be outraged and up in arms about it. But because it is a woman (And one we all know and respect), who, because she was "frustrated" hit her husband, there is not an eyelash that batted over this, instead just the opposite.

I like you alot Locket, don't get me wrong, but be honest, how many men can come on here and say that they hit their wives and would get a response of "She deserved it anyway"?

i hate it that after 18 months of struggling and finally selling my house that i cannot get hold of my goddamn solicitor as i have heard through the grapevine that we are exchanging tomorrow and the bottom of the chain has moved the moving date and it is the end of term which means that schools will be closed when i try and get places for my ums in the new place and the idiots causing the problem don't even have ums and my buyer is just as furious as i am and i don't think that the landlady of the house i am being forced to rent because the house i was going to buy was falling down and i had to pull out will wait that long and did i mention i can't get hold of my solicitor and i don't have any wine in the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *stops for breath*

God i needed that...... *smiles again*

Oh there is a difference between being put in one's place and assault. Would you be saying this, if the situation were reversed? Would you really be saying this, if a man had hit a woman? Would you be telling me that a woman needs to be put in her place, by physical means? Non consensual of course. Which this clearly was the case.
