holly is right, and this is why I know that:

I was her only child and next of kin, so I had no one with whom to share this responsibility, and never any help from state agencies either. I was during the latter part of this time a single mother of three teenagers. She was a nice person who would give you the last dollar out of her wallet, but utterly co-dependant (is that the phrase I want?) and would take absolutely no responsibility for herself, wanted to live her life through Me, wanted Me to do everything for her, even while she was still able. This began in earnest when I was 13 and ended about five years ago, after I finally was forced to let her go to assisted living to save what was left of My sanity. When I got the call that she had gone, I was heartbroken, but intensely relieved. When I say I understand, I really do.

georgia, has he got some form of dementia? as dementia progresses, the person's world will shrink and shrink until they no longer do what they used to do in life. their world revolves tightly around them. think of it as a 2 yr old who is completely egocentric (but with an entire life history that YOU remember but they don't) - they can't help it, and with a 2 yr old, you don't expect any different.

it's incredibly difficult to disassociate the person NOW with the person you knew. They still look like dad, speak like dad, wears dad's clothes and smell like dad....

*nods* the relief is so normal...but it can be a double edged sword. Feeling relief over the death of a loved one can often result in a huge sense of guilt.

Person xyz pages me and asks "can you add me to your yahoo list" like it is some kind of right that can be demanded.

I HATE IT EVEN MORE when I ask person xyz "why were, or what caught your attention about my profile" and the only answer that comes back is "can you add me to your ... "

When will these idiots learn that I add persons because they have some level of 'quality' not attitude.

i hate it when i decide to work out to this work out program He bought me for the wii i have and it looks great and i'm really motivated.... and it's gonna be great...and then it has me wrap the bottom half of the numb chuck on my leg...okay...so i do it...tight...okay...and as i'm doing the first exercise...it falls down my leg.....

wtf........

i also hate it when i seriously need to make a firm and real effort to not make negative comments to Him or around Him about myself... Which means i may implode...

I hate that I wasted time (but not my money, thank gary) watching the movie "The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard" last night. That was about all that was left after all "scary" movies were nixed, all "kid" movies were nixed, and all "typical chick flick" stuff were cut out of the selection process. Some friends are just dumb.

I do, however, recommend, "Obsessed" with Beyonce. It's in Redbox and at rental stores. Very good, like "Fatal Attraction" with a twist. (Oh and Idris Elba is soooooo very, very fine...)

I hate that while I was in the middle of applying for a teaching job in St. Louis I had to step away from the computer take my book outside and read to calm myself down.....

I hate it that I have a whole day to kill & i'm in the desert in bumfuck California.

I hate it when I find a nice parking space way off by myself & some asshat comes flying in to park next to me & flings dirt inside my truck.

I hate it when a guy stands me up, then picks today to contact me to say "I'm sorry".

I hate it when I have a fight with my beloved daughter & when I call to apologize for losing my temper, she won't answer the phone & I leave it on voice mail & i haven't heard anything back from her.
