the vet checked her before I was to take her for the ultrasound.  decided to do a side chest xray.  her lungs have a bunch of fluid in them.  She's lost 3 more lbs.  He said he could do a chest tap, but in her weakened state it would probably be more than she could take.  so I have some prednisone and clavamox.  Palliative care now.

thanks, Potty.  Yeah.. he felt that the 360.00 for the ultrasound would be wasted.  I probably wont call, because I'll be at work, and I cant be sobbing at the desk......

Honey...can you ask the vet if a diuretic might help? It might take the fluid out of the lungs and help with her comfort.

I hate it when I'm sent home with suspected N1H1 (obviously early case) after having a nasal swab done at work. It's mandatory to stay home until the results come in and then 9 days if it is confirmed. Right now I just want to curl up and die.
