I love my mother but................. I hate it that I wish I was much farther away from her again. I hate being this close. I hope that I never become this angry, vindictive, or bitchy to other people in my life. I don't know what happened to her other than life choices she chose to make even though everyone warned her that made her like this. I hate that everyday seems to get worse and worse with her moods and even though I have urged her to seek help she just ignores me. I hate that she goes out of her way to find something that displeases her and if she's miserable then everyone around her must be miserable too. I hate that she can't see what a strain this is to our relationship. I hate that when she is in one of her good moods she wants to talk to me and have a mother daughter relationship. I hate that she gets hurt or angry when I just don't want to talk about things with her any more because when she goes to her angry place she uses every thing I've told her to hurt me or to hinder me from doing things that I want to do. Like watching the dogs when I go away. I hate that she's become so selfish and feels like I owe her. Owe her for what? I put myself through college she didn't help her current husband was to jealous to let her help in fact she and he made it as hard as possible for me to go to school. I worked two jobs and student loans to get myself through school. I've been living on my own since I was sixteen because her current husband (who is now in jail) hated me and felt like I was old enough to live on my own. I hate that she reverts to me so much for financial assistance when I pretty sure if she budgeted correctly she could do it on her own. I really dislike when she tells me I'm not smart or calls me stupid because I can't read her mind or anticipate her needs. Although I make more money and have a much higher education than she does. I hate that all of this hinders me from dealing with what I need to deal with because I just can't think and process because I revert straight back to survival mode. Okay so I hate that actually a big huge part of me hates my mother.

hugs Imp I'll be your surrogate Mom. Imp, you're beautiful, intelligent, and I'm proud of you for how you're handling your life. I'm sorry if you've been mistreated. But, I'm extremely thrilled that you have the courage to put the bad things behind you and that you have the courage and stamina to end any and all toxic relationships that you've been in. I wish I had that kind of courage when I was your age.

Imp.... i can relate to Your post soooo much!!! If it's any conselation i'm currently struggling with how to be able to go home for my neices birthday and not have to stay at my mom's over night. i would rather stay at a hotel....... or in the car.......... or in the street.....or in a crack house.......or where ever else but there.......... Sometimes i feel so stupid because for so many years i really thought our relationship would just be "all better" when my dad died.... Ya live and learn, Kali

My mom had a horrible relationship with my grandmother and I've had to force myself to have a decent relationship with her since my grandfather died because I was always a grandpa's girl my grandmother resented me, but she and my mom are a lot alike. I'm rambling, but I completely understand what you are saying like you'd much rather take a hot searing spoon and burn your eyes out than spend more than an hour with that person! Sometimes it's a minor relief that it wasn't yet my time to be a mommy because I'm afraid I would have continued the cycle or been a horrible mom or something like that. On another note entirely I feel like I'm going through emotional detox month.

Steven as my surrogate son-in-law? Well, in another thread he did mention that he would always think of me as a bitch. (LOL-big time teasing here) So I suppose I'd be a good mother-in-law. Though... I really wouldn't hate that. I'd just hate that we weren't geographically closer.

I hate that little Jimmy & Holly are getting fixed today :( I hate taking away their food the night before. I felt guilty drinking coffee this AM and all the cats were sitting around waiting for their food but I didn't want to feed Jilly & Jolly until Jimmy & Holly were in their carrier ready to leave for the vet. *Whew, I'm tired*

Awwww, thanks Imp! Mmmmmmm, coffee!!!! Damn, got up at 4:15am to get to VA by 7:30 (rush hour traffic). I left home at 6am after Jimmy made me chase him endlessly [8\|] Got to VA around 6:50am, left the vet at 8amish and didn't get to work (10 minutes from my house) until damn near 9:30am! Got lost in DC...........stupid forks in the road, one-way streets........blah! Oh goody, I get to drive back after work tonight to get the little shits...uh, I mean the little darlings. [8\|][8\|]

thank goodness my kitty is meant to breed and won't get fixed in the near future...however if she makes as much a fuss about delivery as her mum did then she will be due right after her first litter [8\|] my ginger boy tried to climb up the bare walls at the vet I was told when I picked him and his torty sister up from their fixing appointment...he is as hot and spicy as his name curry entails...the only one of my cat who dares to hiss at me sometimes when his temperament flares up...(and he didn't dare to do so at Mr. A when he visited us sulk [>:]).
