Good morning, dear loonies.
I hate it when I have to get up in the morning and share bad news: Foamy the sick baby ninja squirrel did not make it through the night. Please don't laugh or make snarky comments because this little creature was our furbaby, very smart and very tame, genuinely loved and wanted by My family and Me, and we are heartbroken. A few posts four or five pages back explain what happened.

I know this, VP. and I totally don't blame the cat, she's actually a very sweet critter who likes to purr a lot and sit on laps, besides the fact that I am a flaming cat Person from the git-go. She was a street cat used to getting her own supper and not very often at that; she saw an opportunity and she went for it (My issue with Myself is that I allowed this to happen. None of My other cats had ever done more than come up and have a casual sniff, hence My complacency). Animals are like human children, if not more so, in that they are utterly innocent of hate, malice, and any of that pesky right-or-wrong crap; they don't worry, they just act.
Anyway, thank you all again for being so sweet to another furbaby Mama, it means a lot.

P.S. so this doesn't all seem too much like a pity party for G.I. or anything: this has only furthered My resolve to try and get back into school next year, for the 2-yr vet assisstant degree that I was already wanting on it's own merit and because it augments what the Counterpart and I do (wildlife damage control and rehab, someday to be our main focus and not the side job that it is now). Maybe I could have saved Foamy and maybe I couldn't just the same, but I want to be armed and educated as well as I can be, to better the chances of any future foundlings who come into My care. So be it.

aww, Goddess i am soo very sorry to hear abou foamy..That must be so terribly tough on You...

i hate that while i get to spend wonderful quality time enjoying the willow kitten growing up and seeing her moving through all these stages of being a cute and loving kitten; it just reminds me that i missed that with the Tickey Kitty......i hate that i don't know if it's just because i was so fucked up then or because He was a rescued kitten that He didn't really want anything to do with people at that time......
