I feel for you, as my ex is currently doing the same on me and gosh did he get bossy in last weeks :o(
Now he insists again on writing down every stupid penny i spend from december onwards and gosh i hate doing that (after all,i am not bored!). So i used my escape route yesterday and ordered my last load of uni books due to essay stress once again (BEFORE I am supposed to write down that crap). In the last weeks i got so many new books, you could think i would start my course instead of trying to finish it... However, whilst he is a bossy pain at times, he is still the best person ever in my life,so fine*sigh*...financially i am going to try harder now, to do as i am told :o( which means to stay within agreed financial limits (though "agreed limits" is debatable)...on the plus side i am able to pay off 1.5 of my credit cards in january when student money comes in again...because whilst he is bossy, i know that he will help out financially if it would be necessary after paying off those cards (e.g. If i would not have enough work due to lack of available shifts or due to needing time off due to uni stress). So his bossyness is kind of to achieve that i'd be avoiding to spend more then "i'm supposed to" as then i'm less likely to need his financial help and so don't end up in trouble with him at all... But gosh i hate it when he steps in like that...he is great and it is helpful, but i hate it when i screwed it up as i did that he feels the need to step in :o( as he is damn good in making me feel awkward about it...on the plus side with him in my neck i know i will be debt free again next summer (well, apart from student debts) so i take it as it is and put up with it :o(
