Yes Sunny, you're right. We are not thinking clearly. We are not into the holiday spirit. I havent even lit a menorah. The cards we have been writing have been, "thank you for your donation" cards.

The only mistake in the whole thing and many wouldnt even notice that there is a mistake unless they know her specific date. So, I'll live with it and shower her with humor and jokes.

Heres a funny one that I love. When I was 13 i had a Bat Mitsvah. My mom made these horrendous long dresses for me and my sisters in pink and white checked gingham. I had one of those doily things on my head. My sisters were made to wear pink and white checked gingham bows. They Hated them. My sister was 14. She was not amused. Well a few months back my mom gave me a folder with a picture from my bat Mitsvah of my grandma and I and also there were those 2 hideous bows that we have talked about numerous times. I am taking those 2 bows and giving them to my sisters for Hannukah all wrapped up real purrty!

If anyone wants to see the picture of my grandma and me in the pink and white dress that my sisters had duplicates of...message me!

...I receive the news that my sister-in-law broke her leg during their honeymoon (at a skiing trip

)

And she did that "so well" that it is not just a broken leg where you get the stuff around and then you can jump around with it...nope...she had now one operation abroad and once she get driven home she will have to have another operation

Somehow she managed to break it very close underneath the knee and also managed to tear apart her...*goshIhatesometimestowriteinenglishwhenidontknowtheenglishword*...well, teared apart some stuff in the legs which arent bones and arent muscles either

So I suppose she won't forget her honeymoon for sure

and it is likely that she will spend christmas in the hospital...gosh we really do well with our family...me not attending at all and prefering to stay away abroad...and the sister-in-law in hospital....

And now I hate that I want to send her a little gift with a card for her but I have no clue what to add to it

As I don't know her very well

On the plus side my brother can now exercise to get his son to bed...as according to her...he was so far not that good at bringing him to bed as he calms down much better with mummy....so maybe this "men-time" for the next while will be good for both of them

(sorry, but I am just trying to see something positive on it).

i hate it when i TRY to be nice and offer ex-husband #1 TIME with the monster on Christmas Day and he tries to turn it into an argument. Here's our conversation... (oh, keep in mind he is blonde, the kinda blonde that gives blondes a bad rep)
sophie: if you want the monster on Christmas Day just let me know what time. i can pick him up on my way up north to get monster 2. Your mom would like for you to bring him to Christmas dinner.

blondie: i cant keep him all dax (we assume dax = day)

sophie: i never said for you to keep him all day. i asked if you wanted to take him to your moms. i was trying to be nice and let you see the monster on Christmas Day. If you dont want to, just say so. If you do, then come up with a time.

i also hate it when i am so worked up that, YES, i typed all that from the bathroom! i was so angry and had to vent somewhere and i couldn't even wait to get back to my room to finish it, just took the computer with me
