Status: offline 		I recall whan a real blizzard hit. we were at school. helicopters eventually came and picked up those local to airport, tractors and landrovers picked up those from nearby villages, the rest of us got farmed out to houses in the village.

Status: offline 		i'm told that happend in germany too at end of 70s or beginning of 80s as people couldnt attend my birthday...however uk in snow is far from fun. I'm lucky to wear longjohns at present that protected my skin when i felt earlier as i'm still wearing my thin trouser from placement :o(

Status: offline 		I hate that it's.... checks clock... 1:42 in the farkin' aye emmm, and I'm still at work, or well, back at work.  Went back to work at 7pm, to work on a damn slideshow for my boss.  If his computer wasn't as old as dirt (and that's where the software is), maybe I would have been home by now.  Mumble farkin' grumble piece of shit.

And if any technogeeks can help me out with some free file hosting (see my journal entry of a few mins ago), that would be stupendous.

I hate it when my sister, who I have a tremendous love-hate relationship with calls me for the second day in a row just to bitch about life in general.

I hate it when it seems like she wants to make my life miserable because she is jealous that, for the most part, I'm fairly content.

I hate it when, because my dad didn't call her at a time she expected, she felt she needed to blow up my cell and house phones until I finally answered.  (I didn't want to answer because I just knew it was going to be some venomous shit she wanted to spread to me.)

I hate it when I did answer, she blasted me for not taking her calls earlier.  I told her I was doing Christmas stuff and didn't  have the ringer up loud enough, but I was there now.

I hate it when she tells me that she's POSITIVE that Dad has early onset of dementia because he forgot to call her this afternoon.

I hate it when I said, "Did you call him?  Maybe he was taking a nap, he is almost 85 yanno."

I hate it when she said, "You know what, screw you, you obviously don't care about your family at all.  Fuck you" and slams the phone on me.

I hate it when I tried calling her back 3 times to see what on earth her problem is and she picks up the phone and slams it back into the cradle.

I hate it that I felt I needed to tell my Dad what she said because he has told me to relay anything of that sort to him at once.

I hate it that, on Christmas Eve, I told my Dad that she is dead to me because I've come to far to let her drag me down with her.

I hate it that he said, "Little one (his pet name for me), I can certainly understand why you would say that, and I'm so sorry.  You've done more for me than all your other siblings combined and I know that.  You're my special girl, and I love you.  And for the record, I don't have dementia, I'm just old.  And another thing, your sister needs to remember that as long as I'm on this side of the grave, I'm the Patriarch of this family, and I answer to no one."

I hate that it just seems that there are people who are trying to ruin this season for me.  To those people, incl. my stupid sister... Fuck Off.
