[ in response to Puppy4GoodHome] I was under the impression that (wearing) a collar signified that you were owned. Being owned is a priviledge, and an honor. If you are *not* owned, then what is the purpose of wearing a collar? To make a mockery of those who wear one legitimately? To diminish the true meaning of a collar lovingly given to a worthy and deserving submissive? To show contempt for (and jealousy of, perhaps?) those who have been claimed and wear one with pride? Or maybe, the purpose is just to show that one is completely clueless as to a collar's very special significance, thus making the wearer appear to be quite foolish, and nothing more than a major player. I would never tell someone that they "can't" wear a collar if they are not owned. If they choose to do so, thereby casting themselves in a very negative light, that is their business. I simply would not waste My time on such an individual. Just to be clear, I mean this in reference to wearing a collar in the BDSM sense. Not in wearing a collar as a part of Goth attire. Now, to answer the "I hate it when....." question -- I don't like to use the word "hate", as it is such a strong word. But it *REALLY* drives Me crazy to see a written article anywhere (a Forum post, an email, a Letter To The Editor, a newspaper story, a crawler on the TV screen, etc.) that has misspelled words in it, the wrong word used ('where' instead of 'wear'), and little (or worse yet, NO) punctuation in it. That just makes Me want to grab a red pen, circle all the mistakes, and return it to the writer for correction. And I'm not even a teacher! There is no excuse for such errors. Except for carelessness, or pure stupidity. Use Spell-Check! Always proof-read what you have written, or have someone else proof it! Yes, I admit it -- I am an intellectual snob. And a perfectionist. I expect the best -- if I can do it, why can't you? I am reminded of my favorite quote: "Only two things are Infinite -- the Universe, and human stupidity. And I'm not so sure about the former." ~~Albert Einstein~~ LadyTeazer - proud Owner of [saberwulf34] and *still* a WOW -- Wonderful Older Woman
