Awww geeez Greedy, I had a bronco run OVER my car (yes, go airborne, land on my car, and then roll forward and off - nice big tire ditches over my car) and they still didn't call it a total loss (like $15,000 damage wasn't enough????). Cali

this would be the second total in 2 yrs.. if I don't get cancelled, I'll be surprised... although the accident itself isnt going against me (since I wasnt driving), the claim counts.. I'm going to take it back to the shop next to where I bought the car.. they've given me the lowest estimate so far. I need to have that est. revised to include the wheel (flattened tire, he said.. fucking WHEEL is trashed..), and see if I can get away from the 'total loss'. Maybe if I tell them to not worry about the fender.. just do the wheel, mirror and fan shroud... ??

It's so true, it's impossible to get helpers around here, in spite of the lack of work. We ended up hiring our lawn service guys to do extra work for us.

LadyHibiscus.. I do not get it. Unemployment is rampant around here but no one wants to work! GeeT I have put up paper ads all over the place, my local corner store, the grocery store, local hardware store and pizza place. There is no sort of truck stop place around. Jeez I even called the county and village offices. The bid I got this morning is $3000.00 which doesn't include the sidewalk, and does include reusing all my materials. The only stuff I need to buy are weed barrier material and tons of mulch. I'm going to make calls this afternoon pricing mulch myself and maybe save a bit of cash. I also have a realtor lined up, she comes over tomorrow. I'd made plans to do a garage sale but screw it, I'm just tossing stuff and calling Purple Heart for the unwanted furniture. A garage sale is too much work and I live off the beaten path so not many would show up. So far I have 8 boxes of books to donate to the local library and probably 12 more to go through and pare down. By Monday the inside of my house must be perfect. It will be perfect even if I drive myself into the ground.. which looks pretty likely hah. I can rest 'later'.
